| When you leave food out all the time for them to eat whenever they want to eat.

| I take it to mean leaving food out all the time for your Yorkie so they can eat as they feel necassary. Not a set feeding schedule. Like me, I feed at 9am and 9pm, scheduled times, daily with treats in between. HTH! Janet, didn't see your answer, lol! Last edited by erino77; 07-14-2008 at 10:06 AM. Reason: add |

| I used to free feed Scooter and Maya........until I tried Canidae. Then I took them back off of it and went to feeding them twice a day.

| It must be Monday! I forgot to say that they were really packing on the pounds with Canidae.....even feeding 1/4 cup twice a day.

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | I had the same problem free feeding with Royal Canin. We switched to California Natural Puppy Food and Adult food--haven't had any problems in 2 years. Free feeding is letting the dogs eat when they want. |

YT 1000 Club Member | I think some dogs live to eat and others eat to live. I can leave the food bowl out with food all day and Roxie just grazes on it when she's hungry. Just a few pieces at a time is all she wants. No weight issues as of yet. She's 1 yr. and 4 months and eats Royal Canine. The 2 bigger dogs we have will gobble their food up in no time (and Roxie's and the cats food if I don't watch them!). |
