I have read recently that Lyme disease can cause aggession. Have you had her checked or vaccinated for that? It's just a thought. I know by the symptoms that it does sound like rage syndrome. I have a cocker and he is not quite right and can be very aggressive. Maybe you can get something from a homeopathic vet to make her calmer. I need to check that out myself. Please let us know what you find out. I am very interested. Good luck!

I have also heard that Revolution can cause these type of behaviors. You don't use that, do you?

The sad part is is that I am a volunteer with rescue. I am listed as a foster for Yorkies that come into our rescue. And, all but Jersey were rescues. I've handled everything from Noel who was beaten to Bella who I had since 5 weeks old and near death. My husband and two boys bought Jersey for me last year when our 10 yr. old Yorkie was diagnosed with Cancer. They knew he did not have long and I was taking it so hard and so for Mother's Day they came home with Jersey for me. A woman in our town had them. She breeds. She is not a good breeder and no Jersey was not socialized. My feelings is that she was left since birth to fend for herself. Another words whatever food was put down she either fought to eat or didn't eat. She was healthy when we got her - no fleas or parasites etc. but her parents were from Shake A Paw (A puppy store) and were older so yes my guess is that there is some in breeding. I won't put her down. I thought about placing her with an adult / older couple but she is so wild that she will not allow anyone but us to go near her. She does not like anyone but us and agains she's been socialized since we got her. Brought to ball games etc. Elaine

Looking at it in a different perspective, sounds like Jersey has put herself in the role of Alpha pack leader. You maybe
have spoiled her so much she thinks she's the master and head of your family pack.

Poor Mommy and poor Furbaby!!!! How miserable you little one must be. You have received some wonderful advice. I have a puppy mill survivor and she has great fear issues. Have had to deal with them for 10 yrs. now. It has really gotten worse lately so she is now on Diazepam 3x's per day. Pet Calm wasn't doing the trick anymore. Seems to be helping. Hugs to you and your little furbaby.

I am sorry - I need to restate this - my baby is a mill survivor and had serious mental, behavior and anger issues. She also tends toward being alpha.

Now, today she for no reason just started snapping and growling and I went to pick her up and was bitten twice. Not hard she's only 5 pounds but we do not know why this is happening. She almos seems to not know what she is doing because after she just looks at me and licks me lik nothing happened.

She's vetted, well cared for, always plenty of food and loved - my girls are my babies. This is nothing we are causing. Believe me. And, I just don't know what to do. We could never rehome her because she would never go with anyone and honestly she is not suitable for any home.

I'm wondering if there is somehting wrong in her brain. I've discussed some of th eissues with the vet and he says that it's just her personality but I am convinced that somethin has to be wrong. Also she was always socialized as a pup but like I said she was very skiddish and the best way to describe her is she's just plain crazy.

Has anyone had issues like this and if so were they caused by something medical. I am really a wreck. I love my girls and my heart says soemthing is wrong with her. hubby is wearing thin and is afraid she will hurt one of the kids or one of the girls and told me in his oppinion she should be put down but I cannot do that but just don't know what to do. my suggestion is develop benevolent eye contact.. it sounds like a trust and fear issue... spend 5 minute sessions with him.. make eye contact..
build trust.. do this 3 times a day.. say YES when developing BEC
