| Pixie's recovering well..*Pictures* Pixie was spayed yesterday..I was so worried about it all so everyones kind words of support over the last couple of days were greatly appreciated! you guys are wonderful I LOVE YOU!!! Well..its been a little over 24 hours now since surgery and she's doing very well...she slept all night in her crate in our bedroom and hardly stirred all night, just before 6am I heard her cry and got up to see if she was ok..I guessed she might need to pee as she still hadn't gone yet and it had been over 12 hours since we picked her up, so I carried her to the garden and put her on the grass and she did a really long pee! I was soooo happy! she still hasn't pooped though...She had scrambled egg for breakfast this morning which she scoffed like she was half starved! she did manage eat a little last night too which was a relief as the vet said her blood sugar was a little low so he told me to try and get some food in her last night. She has been taking little trips into the garden and I have been lifting her over the step as i don't want her jumping over anything right now. I had a little peek at her incision..its tiny! the vet did a superb job..he said it was only 1.25cm!! her mouth doesn't seem too sore either..she had 4 canines removed and 3 incisors, the vet also said she had a little tartar on a back tooth which he cleaned up for me..I think I know which tooth he meant as she had a large baby tooth that took a long time in coming out and that was what was causing the tartar build up..at least it will now be easier to keep her teeth clean. She is sleeping again right next to me..she does seem a little clingy and wants to stay close to me. I have washed her face and groomed her and she is looking more like her old self..she was even growling in her crate early this morning because she could hear another dog barking..that did make me chuckle! She has her post op check-up monday and then stitches come out on the 25th. I'm so relieved this is all over after stressing about getting this all done for the last few months! I kept putting it off as she is under 3lbs..so i was hoping she might gain a lil more weight and some more of those baby teeth might come out..some of them did when i started giving her fresh bones from the butchers I don't go back to work till tuesday so i have lots of time to fuss over her and watch her carefully. Anyway..i'll post some piccies of my little angel..she's been so incredibly brave and has hardly made a fuss..I'm such a happy mummy right now!!

| Great news! She looks beautiful as always. I'm so glad to hear that she's recovering so well. What a sweet little trooper.

| Im glad she is doing so well after her surgery! Dogs are amazing creatures how they can bounce back so easily and not show pain like us humans do. I love her bedding by the way. Beautiful as she is! |
