| Weeeeeeiiiiiird question.... Sorry folks, but I was just wondering if anyone had the time to explain how the belly bands work. I have NEVER heard of these in my life !!! I know they are for males and I assume they keep them from piddling where they shouldn't BUT it all seems very weird to me. I am not used the this tiny breed. Up until last November when we lost our beloved Holly (german shepherd) I had only experienced LARGE dogs. LOL This is all soooooo new to me. THANK YOU in advance for ANYONE who is kind enough to explain this to me. |

| Belly bands are just bands of fabric that velcro around the belly area. You put a disposable pad inside that soaks up the urine. It's a diaper, for boys.

| They are wrapped around the belly area pretty snugly so there's no way for them to get it off, really. As far as a dog wearing a diaper goes - you think it's strange until your carpets are ruined from a dog peeing everywhere

| My male dogs have to wear a belly band because they are markers!! Sometimes just having the belly band on stops them from marking and I will take off the band and it will be dry, I then take them out to go potty. But when they come back in I have to put it back on otherwise they hide and lift their leg on my furniture or doorways or corners of cabinets, etc..

| Touche............ LOL I didn't mean that I found it weird in a BAD way. I was just surprised and in awe of the whole idea. I have a newborn male and MIGHT require some of these one day. (hopefully NOT though). THANK YOU FOR THE INFO. I appreciate it very much. |

| ...... belly bands prevent a dog from "marking" in the house...... some of them won't mark with a belly band on, and they should be taken off to allow the dog to go to the bathroom often.
