| my lucky i love yorkies . i think they are the cuties little dogs and i have a few friends that have one. well i recently bought one of my own. my lucky was born 04-11-05 and he was flowned to me from a breeder in alabama that a friend referred me to. when he first came he was so cute and chubby, he was 8 weeks and weighed exactly 3 pounds. the vet said he was in perfect health. now lucky is about 15 weeks and he's already 5.6 pounds. i have him on an auto feeder since i work all day. at 1st i would leave a full bowl of food out for him. but then he jumped from 3 pounds to 5 pounds in 6 weeks. every growth chart i see stops at 6 pounds. well he will certainly be bigger than that. ??? how big will my lucky be? and is he growing to fast? i know he's not a mix i have all his papers back 2 generations. the breeder says he's just going thru a growth spurt and he probably wont get much bigger, since his mother was 5 1/2 pounds and his dad was 3 1/2 pounds. she said she had puppies that grew fast the 1st couple of months that didnt grow much after that. does anyone have some advise for me and my lucky boy. thanks cocoa |

| Congratulations on your puppy. As an estimate they say triple the 8 week weight or double the twelve week weight. That would have him about 9lbs. Again this is just an estimate.
