| I wouldn't have sold this lady a stuffed dog I had a young lady come to my house last night to look at my puppies. She brought a friend with her. They came in and I handed her Blaze, the puppy that she was interested in, and asked them to sit on the sofa. She sat down and Blaze was all wiggly and climbing her shoulder acting like a normal puppy. she says "Eww it's so hyper." The friend said well she's a puppy, they settle down when the get older. She said "well the other one just sat there" He said "and it was shaking." I said "was it raised in the family home." she said "it was at a pet store". so I explained to her that it was most likely a puppy mill puppy and probably had very little human contact and it was frightened. Her friend agreed. she said "but they're so wiggly." and acted repulsed. I'm thinking, 'Lady you need a stuffed animal, not a puppy.' I'm so glad she didn't want her cause I would have had to turn her down. I guess I just assumed that everyone knows that puppies run and play and chew and get into mischief. And they even poop on your floor Apparently Blaze kenw she was not the one because she definitely wanted that lady to put her down, and when I pick her up she is just all full of kisses. I can't imagine that woman's reaction if Blaze had tried to kis her. My new policy, If you won't let my dog kiss you on the lips then you can't have it. I think I will question perspective buyers more about just what they are expecting from a pet, and if they want one that just sits on their lap I'll suggest that they look for an adult dog or a stuffed animal. |

| yeah thank goodness she didn't want the puppy.. i wouldn't have sold Blaze to her either! and it's nice to know you care about your babies.. the lady i got my Chippy from.. was more concerned about the money.. and rushed through the questions i gave her.. and didn't ask me anything.. it was really odd.. but it didn't seem as though she was mistreating them.. you know?? i was gonna keep in touch with her and let her know how Chippy is doing.. but it didn't look like she cared enough to know.. so i didn't bother.. |

| I completely agree!! My grandpa used to breed his golden and one time a family came in and the little kid was TERRIFIED of the dog and started crying when the puppy ran up to it. The parents looked appalled that the puppy "charged" the little kid...are you kidding!? The puppy was excited to have a new play mate!! I'm telling you, some people are nuts!! No wonder shelters are so packed! Hardly anyone does REAL research before getting a dog!!

| Good for you Jeanie. Makes you wonder sometime why people even bother. I think I would have told her. If you want one that is not a *puppy* then go get a stuffed animal! |

| I have seen so many people buy dogs and have no clue what they are in for. It never comes out good. Its like they buy a pair of shoes and think they can put it away and forget about them. They are work and you have to interact with those little ones. I think the real buyers you can tell act different and are thrilled when they are around the puppies. Good for you that you didn't sell to her.

| Good thing she didn't Blaze! Some people expect animals to come already trained and however they want them to behave

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I never ship my puppies as I have an interview that I explain needs to be at least an hour. If any of my dogs don't like the person - that's it - their not getting my puppy. It is really hard to judge unless you see for yourself. You did the right thing.
