I just love that picture. It is just amazing the compassion that animals have it is a shame more people don't share that compassion. Hope Miss Maggie is feeling better today. |
Louis was the same way after Ella Bean's spay. He was so kind and gentle - and he kept bringing her toys and chews...We have much to learn from our furkids, thats for sure. Can't wait to hear how Miss Maggie May is doing this morning. I am certain that by this evening, she will be feeling quite a bit better and you'll start seeing improvement!! :) |
Hows the little patient doing today? alot better i hope..my little baby Pixie goes in friday morning I feel sick everytime i think about it:( |
Just wanted to stop in with an update on Lil Miss Maggy May. I hardly got any sleep last night, was up and down with her all night. I was worried cause she hadn't eaten by 8:00 yesterday evening, so I had/ had hubby go get some Wellness just for puppies canned food. I gave her a teaspoon of that & she ate it, I was relieved. Then again at about 12:30 I gave her another teaspoon since she had kept the other down and hadn't had any problems with it. Well, at about 2:00 this AM when I had finally turned the light out to lay down, I heard her whine. I jumped up and put her on her puppy pad and she had the runs, badddd. I figure it's from the canned food I gave her. So, the rest of the night she had the runs two more times. I'd clean her up and put her back in her bed and she's go right back to sleep. I gave her Kayro last night to make sure her sugar didn't go low and gave her some water was well. She was supposed to have another pain pill this AM but I didn't wanna give it to her on an empty stomach, so, I waited until she could eat something but knew I wouldn't be giving her the canned food again. I soaked some of her Wellness kibble and FINALLY at about 1:15 this AM, she ate some of it, so, I called the vet and let them know how she had the runs last night and let them know I held off on the pain med till she had something in her tummy. I just gave her her pain med a lil bit ago so I'm hoping to see some improvement here real soon. Thank you all for all the good wishes and prayers, it's very much appreciated. |
Awww. Tracey - I am so sorry its been rough. :( Really - over the next two days she will slowly start getting back to normal. It'll take time, but she is going to be a-ok!! Thinking of you and sending tons of good energy and prayers. |

The Kibble with warm water will upset her tummy less then canned food. Also, if you have some acidophilous/ probiotic, sprinkle a capsule on her watery kibble and mix it in. It will help her tummy settle. Human probiotic from the drugstore or GNC is fine, I use the human stuff for my furkids! Painkillers can also cause tummy upset. Is she on antibiotics? That also causes tummy upset....Its a great sign she is taking kibble again!:D |
