| How to Intro. Yorkie/Bulldog I have a 8 week old female yorkie named Mackensie & my daughter, who lives across the street from me, has a 4 year old very lovable, gentle as a lamb female english bulldog named Hallie. Hallie is very very well behaved, I hope I am as lucky, and likes other dogs. My daughter is very excited about these 2 dogs becoming friends. After Mackensie's 2nd day with us we left them sniff each other then put one outside the patio door so they could watch each other. Today we left them romp together, which naturally Hallie wanted to play & is alot bigger. Mackensie growled a little then joined in. How should we go about this as they will be seeing each other amost every day? |

| Welcome to YT! This is a wonderful site and you will learn a lot about your new fur baby. My Onni is very small, 2.4 pounds; we have a German Shepard, a Rottwieller Blue Heeler mix, a Lab mix and a Jack Russell. They all get along great and are very gentle with Onni. That said; I never leave her alone with any of them, not even for a quick trip to the bathroom. They would never hurt her intentionally but because she is so small they could easily hurt her without trying. So she is always, always supervised when she is around them.

| Playing Together Like Onni said, they will be fine together as long as you watch them. My (might as well be) mother in law has SIX DOGS! She has a watch her chinese crested, Missy, because she is so small that she does to get hurt unintentionally. She also has a german shepard. Dogs are like kids, they don't know better sometimes! P.S. Congrats on your new little furbaby!!! |

| The more these two can have physical contact, under strict upervision, the quicker they would become close friends. Here are a few pics of Boo the Boxer babysitting the pups. She gets along well with all of the yorkies in the house but Chizziewink is her particular favorite. Last edited by chattiesmom; 07-06-2008 at 09:49 AM. |

| Thanks, to all who replied! Those pictures of the boxer & puppy are adorable! My daughter agrees with you. Hallie just weights so much more than this puppy & it scares me. |

| Boo is so incredibly careful it is amazing. Every once in a while she will accidentally step on a foot, but not very often. |

| my 95 lb. lab is so like that! She has no idea that she even is a big dog... haha... she loves to lay down to their level and play with the "babies"... but like others have said, I NEVER leave them alone. Laci wouldnt ever hurt one, but acidents happen and I dont want to take any chances... Congrats on your new baby! It is so fun to watch the big babies play with the little ones. d
