| Some people have found it easier to name the pup after you get her and get used to her personality for a bit. Sometimes that helps. But there's plenty of names out there, you can check out these threads: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...ighlight=names http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...ighlight=names |

| I would just make a nice list of names that you love and then after you get the pup see which one fits her best. I had the name Bentley (hes 3 years old) picked out for my maltese before I got him and it really fit him. But when I got my little yorkie we went thru three names in less than a week. We tried Ellie, then I tried Kylie and finally decided to go with Mia. She's now 18 months old and I think it fits her perfectly.

| I don't remember how I actually came up with Archie, but we really wanted a traditional, English/Scottish/Irish name for our dog, and he's SUCH an Archie. Plus, I LOVED Archie Comics when I was kid, and we live in Queens, like Archie Bunker. But I heard on the radio the other day that there was a legislative proposal in some state to ban people from giving dogs "people," names because they found that children were traumatized when they found out that there was a dog with their name! Here's something for you to get started with...http://www.dog-names.us/ |

| I have a list all ready when we get our new puppy. Some names I already knew I liked, others were suggestions from others, and the rest I got from a baby names web page (did a search on Yahoo!) Naming pets is such fun! Good luck!

| I like Zoe, I haven't heard of many Zoe's. But then again I haven't heard of many Bree's or Blue's either! |

| I met two dogs named Zoe in one week! When I told the second woman with the collie that I met a Zoe last week, she was like, Oh was that the Alaskan? It was! I like Blue--like Blue's Clues and yorkies are blue and gold. |

| We named my moms dog Blu because he had a blue color on his face.

| I like Bree a lot. It reminds me of Breeze, as in when they Breeze in, out, and around us. I also know a Zoe, she's a black lab. From browniesmom's list I like Bella, Isabella, Lilly, & Muffin. Bo says he likes Belle. |
