| OMG! Where is he? Deegan gave me a huge scare this morning. I got up and put him in the back yard for him to do his morning business like every other morning. I usually let him stay out there for about 15-20 minutes or so, while I continually check on him every five minutes or so. So I checked on him twice and he was fine, playing in the grass both times. While I was in the bathroom getting ready for work I peeked out the bathroom window to see what he was up to and I could not find him. He was nowhere in sight. So I ran around the house to the other window, still no Deegan. I ran downstairs to the patio door and as I approached I saw his little head on my neighbours deck on a floating raft that was half on the deck and the other half in the pool. That's right, he was on the raft that was still half in the pool. My heart never raced so fast in my life. I flew out the door and into the neighbours yard to get him. But I didn't want to call him because I didn't want him to move an inch because if he did, he may fall into the pool!! I got to him and luckily he didn't move, but he was all wet from playing in the water that was on puddled in the raft. I am so thankful that he didn't fall in. I've been bugging my bf to block off the bottom of the privacy fence so that something like this wouldn't happen..... I told my bf what happend when he got home this morning (he works midnights) and he felt terrible, and I think it scared him too. Needless to say, that's his project for today. I'm just so glad that Deegan is ok. I would have never forgave myself if things turned out bad.

| I'm glad he's okay! These babies have such a good time with everything and don't realize the danger they put themselves in! I hope you threw in a few "told you so"s to your bf! My boyfriend thought I was a nut when we first got Olivia because of all the precautions I took. Now, he sees just how small she is and how much she can get into to, and understands my craziness! |

| I can still feel my heart racing uncontrolably. And believe me... I was sure to give my bf those "See, I told you so!" I love that little guy sooo much... I won't let him out alone in the backyard anymore. I feel bad about it because he loves being outside, but it's for his own safety.

| Thank God you found him so quickly. I'd be more worried about not finding him than seeing him near water. I bet it took your heart a LONG time to slow down! What a total panic!!!!!! |

| Maybe you can get an x-pen for the yard, that way he can run around unsupervised. Or your bf could dig a trench around the whole fence and block it off. I'm sure he'll LOVE that idea! lol I'm so glad your story had a happy ending. We used to lose Bandit in the house all of the time because he was only 3 pounds. Tucker, whom I now call "his royal plumpness" is over 6 pounds, so we don't lose him! Except that he can still crawl under the couch!
