You are truly showing how much you love Dixie by doing the most "unselfish" act.....you are willing to do what is best for her, which is to re-home her..inspite of your broken heart! I wish I lived right next door hon!! Best wishes to you.

I hope you find the perfect home for her!! She is sooo beautiful!! You are doing the right thing even though it may not feel like it. I so wish I lived in Tennesee so I could take her in and you could spend time with her. But I am a state away. I go to Tennesee twice a year and love it there. Good luck in finding her a new home....your doing the right thing by looking here on YT these people care more about their babies than anything in the world. You are being very responsible in picking her new home too.

The support of all of you brings tears to my eyes...you are all so sweet.

I just wanted to let you know that we have decided to keep Dixie. We had a family meeting, and I feel like I've been given a second chance. I love Dixie with all of my heart, and I am so grateful for this. Allow me to explain;

The main reason I felt like I needed to find a new home for her is because ever since I bought Dixie as a puppy, I have been homeschooled. I've always been here with her, and she is so, so attached to me. This year I've decided to go to public school. I will be a junior in high school, and I feel like I need to experience at least some high school. You don't get a second chance at it, you know. Anyway, this summer I've been extremely busy studying, and preparing myself for public school, and I feel like I have been neglecting Dixie. I just haven't been able to sit and play with her, in forever. Everytime I go into my sister's room (my Siberian Husky, Holly stays in my room, and the little girls aren't allowed to be with her unless supervised) she gets so excited, and wants to play with me, but all I have time for is to pick her up, give her kisses, and go. It breaks my heart that she doesn't get as much attention as she is used to. Anyway, we had a family meeting, and my brother spoke up. He mentioned how attached Dixie was to me, and said I shouldn't give her up. He voulenteered to keep her in his bedroom while I am at school, and when I get home I can keep her with me while I do homework, etc, and then since my Husky sleeps in a crate at night, she can sleep in bed with me like she used to, and everything will be okay again. I was so thrilled. I am so grateful to my brother for doing this. Thank you all so much for all the kind words, and support, I will keep you updated.
