I need yorkie help

I need yorkie help. My dog Queenie has cancer, she is a collie and I'm looking at a yorkie to get, but do they like to go camping,boating and do they like to ride in the car? My dog went everyplace with us. I always liked the looks of a yorkie and I think I would like a small dog now. Also I'm looking at a shelter yorkie does any one have any advice for me?

Sorry to hear about your collie. Many people haev yorkies on here that go every where with them and ride on motorcycles, go camping, in pools etc. So they are very totable. Just make sure you get one from a reputable breeder who has socialized the puppy and has healthy lines if you go with a breeder, if you get a shelter dog, which is great try and find one that they say is not scared. I've only had Bella a few weeks, but she has gone on the boat with me, paddle boat too (the only problem there was she wanted to go swimming in the middle of a really big pond ), she's gone camping (but we have a camper so does that really count?) and she LOVES car rides. SHe's the best puppy for the car.

Thank you for your help, I can see that this site is a great help. With so many yorkie lovers I don't feel alone. I just got GREAT NEWS today I'm getting my yorkie tomorrow. She is a puppy mill dog, but I could not let that poor dog go. Just thinking of the life she has had broke my heart and her foster mom tells me she is happy, but needs to be housebroken. I guess things happen for a reason, my Queenies time is running out but how this happened maybe was meet to be.
