| Can someone explain to me the deal(sizing) on BOWS? Like how the sizing goes? I notice there usually are sizes listed with them and such, how does that all work? I have ordered bows before and some of them have been to big and some look to small for my furbutts heads? What is the common size for a 5lber and a 7lber? TIA! |

| I am pretty sure 5/8 size bow is what you want. Its probably been 2 yrs since I ordered bows but I remember 7/8 bow as being too big and 3/8 as being too small

| Normally when you order bows, you'll see 3/8", 5/8" and 7/8". Those numbers are the actual width of the ribbon used to make the bows. So that will be how "tall" the bow is. 3/8" is very tiny and is usually the ribbon used to make the tiny show bows that Maltese wear in pairs. 7/8" is the normal size you'll see on Yorkies in the show ring, although puppies and smaller adults may wear the 5/8" too. You'll also get the option of single looped or double looped bows. The single-looped do appear smaller because they are not as wide, whereas the double looped will be a wider bow. Another option is flag-backed or non flag-backed. Withouth a flag, you just have the loops of the bow. With a flag-back you have the points that stick out on the back..this also adds width to the bow. Lacy is 8lbs and wears both 5/8in and 7/8in bows. I would recommend these two sizes for your two as well. We always go with double-looped with flag-backs for both sizes. It's really all a matter of your preference in bow size. You might try ordering a few in both sizes and see what you prefer and then place larger orders once you know what you like best.

| I think that 5/8 looks the best on most Yorkies. My puppies have 3/8 size. |

| My Zada is 9 pounds and Azrael is 8 pounds and they wear the size 7/8th. I like the double bows best. Then Razael is only 4 pounds and I buy hers in a 5/8th double. The 3/8th would be for a tiny puppy. I just ordered almost $50.00 in bows yesterday from this store. She will even custom make bows. She custom made some for me a few months ago. Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | Suggestion on anyone looking to buy bows or beautiful handmade items Anyone looking to buy bows, suggestion to pm Connie, I do believe Connie here at YT makes them to sell. Her sewing is beautiful and she is very particular at everything she does. Oh my gosh, she prices her dresses soooooooooo reasonable, and I know the time that goes into making them. How fortunate everyone is here to purchase for their furbabies from her and others here at YT that do such BEAUTIFUL WORK. Patti and Jack |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | For me, an easy way to remember is, if your dog is 3 pounds and under 3/8 inch, if he's around 5 pounds 5/8 inch, if he's 7 pounds and over 7/8 inch.

I think she was updating her site and I don't think she has it fully updated yet. oh my gosh, look at all those beautiful bows at the bottom of her site. Aren't her girls the perfect little models.
