Hey, there are a lot of us Brooklyn girls on YT! Plus some in Staten Island. We should have a little Yorkie meet up before the summer is over. I won't be able to make the official meet up on August 20th :( |

Is that Puppy Boutique on New Utrecht?? :( I had a first hand experience with them as well...But I am VERY VERY VERY happy your babies are healthy... My ex Mother in law, bought a Yorkie from them (Puppy Boutique/Puppy Petite) and brought him to the vet that same day...She had to bring him back, he had a heart defect and LP :(...She was heartbroken, cause even after a few hours she fell in love with him...The guy at the puppy shop told her (AND I QUOTE!) "I will give you 2 puppies of your choice, if you do not tell anyone this happened to you" WELL, SHE WAS FURIOUS!! Got her money back and that was it... My mom bought her maltese from him 5 years ago (not the same owner as now) and Kasey is as healthy as anything...And I had his background/breeders checked by Kim @ nopuppymills.com and he was not from a miller... I stopped a women at my nail place from buying shih tzu from them last week...I told her about Ivan and I also asked she refer to millbusters.com for the scoop on petstores... XoXO Fran and Sammi |
does ivan breed the dogs himself ?? |
I got Kacee 45 miles away at $750 and she's healthy as can be...as long as she doesn't run into something! Just some historical FYI: Muffin was $150 in 1991 and was just 15 minutes from my home. :) |

I have to admit, I got lucky with Tatum. I wasn't aware of the puppy mill situations or just hadn't paid much attention before being on this site so I really wasn't screening my breeder too much. I did know to ask to see the parents (which I did) and ask a bunch of questions but if she would have been a miller, I probably wouldn't have figured it out. This was a lady in Manvel (sp?) on the edge of Houston, TX. Tatum has turned out just as perfectly as I had hoped with not a single health issue (knock on wood!). She cost $950 which just about made me choke at the time but it seems like a pretty fair amount after hearing other's prices. We also recently got Stormie, an Australian Shepherd, from a first-time breeder in Dallas who got her female from the Cut-N-Loose breeder (Stormie's daddy is at Cut-N-Loose too if anyone knows of that group of champion work dogs). She cost $500. Amazing how it seems that the bigger the dog, the lower the price. I really need to post some new pics of Tatum and Stormie together. They are hilarious! I can definitely see why ya'll enjoy have two Yorkies to watch them play and interact. What I like is that they can play so hard together outside but then only Tatum gets to come in and then she's my little only cuddle bug. |

Well, Sammi was from Osceola, MO...She wasnt bred by Ivan...I had Sammi's breeders full info and I spoke with them directly also and had their "background" checked by Kim @ Nopuppymills.com as well...Sammi's breeders were not millers and worked with Ivan for MANY years... |
I got Desi from a breeder about 5 miles from my job. Paid $2000. |

Lexi & Oliver came from a wonderful breeder north of Boston. Lexi was $2400 and Oliver was $2200. We've bought Yorkies from her before, and all of them have had the most wonderful temperament and have been SO smart and loving! :aimeeyork |
