| Scruffy Puppy! Help! Mojo is the absolute love of my life! I think he's so handsome, but recently people have started telling me he's scruffy looking! He's only 4 and a half months old, and i was under the impression i couldnt get him groomed till he was 6 months.. I bathe him regularly, he just hasnt had a hair cut yet! When is the right time to give your little baby a haircut? I kind of like the black and tan and i know this will change (he's already becoming very silver/gray) but I just dont know when to start the grooming and hair cuts! Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you! Happy friday |

Donating YT Addict | I think your baby is so cute with his wild hair My little guy looked like a little mop, but a cute mop...and I finally got him his first haircut at 7 months. He looked way scruffier than your baby I think you can give a haircut now. I just waited as it was hard for me to let go of the puppy hair. My Baby looks all grown up now

| Haha, thank you!! Yes, i love him dearly! Yes, i think it may be more the idea of getting him his first "big boy" haircut.. i want him to look like a puppy for a little while longer! I love the moppish look.. youre baby is ADORABLE! He's so well groomed! The first time he went for a bath (i now give him his baths myself) the groomer said that it wasnt a good idea to cut of his puppy hair yet.. as the new hair wouldnt grow back properly.. not sure what that meant.. ill look into it anyways! Thank you for getting back to me! |

| He's adorable. Cute as can be! He looks way better than mine did at that age. There is a stage they go through, ya know? Anyway, he's precious and I wouldn't change anything about him. Keep him as a baby as long as you can.

| My Littlest Mac is also getting to that scruffy-puppy stage thought he's only 15 weeks old. I want to let it grow out some more too. So, other than shaving the ear tips, we're just not quite ready to let the groomers get a hold of him quite yet. I think Mojo's adoreable too!

| Scruffy or not, he's adorable! Don't worry, all puppies go through a stage where they look scruffy. He'll grow out of it eventually. |

| You can get them groomed whenever YOU feel like he needs it. I think he looks adorable as he is. Don't let others influence you in that regard. Just do it when you think he needs it. Both of you posters have very cute furkids!

| Baxter will be 6 months tomorrow. I had to have him shaved at 5 1/2 months because I let him get matted after his neutering and dew claw removal. He was so miserable from that and he hates brushing so I didn't. His puppyness is definitely gone. I wouldn't do it if you don't want to do it. Baxter is totally gray and gold now. His hair is starting to grow back pretty fast. |

| All the babies are adorable as they are. Hot Rod got his first groom at about 5 1/2 mos. We'd had him for about a month and 1/2 by then.

| Aww so precious!! Bandit my baby is 14 weeks old and we have had him groomed twice already....petsmart offers a puppy grooming where they dont cut the hair other than trim the ears, the hair on the butt, his dodaloo lol, and his paws then of course trim his nails. they bathe them and brush them. Its a total tranformation on his coat when they do this...and the puppy grooming is only $15. Bandit had horrible matts in his hair and when we got to petsmart the only lady we let touch him said she wanted to keep him a bit longer and get the matts out....all the other groomers was saying your gonna have to shave him and she said NO I'LL GET THEM OUT!! LOL how awesome is that...needless to say we gave her a good tip. But you do not have to cut the hair is what im saying....the puppy hair is so cute. I dont want it to go away lol. Good Luck!!

| If your baby is scruffy then mine is DEFINITELY scruffy!!! HA!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE all the wild hair around Mufasa's nose.......it's so crazy that you can barely see his eyes! HA! He doesn't really like to be brushed though so that can be a little bit of a challenge but no matter how much I brush him he looks scruffy. Mufasa's legs and feet look REALLY scruffy. How do I get the fur to be smooth or can I even do that? On the top of Mufasa's head he has a lot of gray.......it looks like my mother-in-laws bad root job. HA HA HA!!! |

| All the pics posted of the "scruffy babies" are so cute. It makes me long for Baby Chloe's crazy puppy hair. As long as all your shots are up to date, I think it is fine to do it whenever you are ready.
