| Am I Dreaming, Hopeful, or just crazy???? OK...Madison was just neutered June 10. Before that, he marked quite a bit in the house (I have a difficult time quantifying it b/c when he first got here, he marked on EVERYTHING and EVERYWHERE, and it had slowed down a lot), and I kept a bellyband on him a lot of the time inside. He still managed to get his "shots" in though if he ran back inside after I'd let them out and I was preoccupied with something for a few minutes before I got his band back on. Right after he was neutered, nothing had changed (and I didn't expect it to either), and I kept a bellyband on him until a few days ago. So, today will be the 3rd day (I HOPE I DON"T JINX MYSELF HERE) that he has not marked ANYWHERE inside (that I can find anyway). I mean, he had SPECIFIC spots that he ALWAYS peed and not ONE single dribble anywhere that I can find. Is it possible that he's actually done marking in the house? I'm going around the house surrepitously, to make sure that I'm not just imagining it and I'm afraid if he sees me looking at those areas he might get ideas, LOL. I know...it's just too good to be true and I'm just waiting for the BIG puddle to appear, LOL! Do you think it really stops just like that?

| No, your not crazy.....I had a male that had a loaded gun and it went off anywhere, anytime and on anything.....if you stood still long enough he would fire on your leg....after he was fixed it quite.....Thank goodness, the guns empty.....if it wouldn't have worked I was going to tie it in a knot..... Glad it worked for you too! lol

| Hmmm....IDK Maybe....That would be great if its the case I do remember when TJ was neutered he did regress in his training and peed on alot of stuff. I called the Vet freaking and the Vet laughed and said that TJ was a little upset with me and that's why he was peeing all over the place So I chalked it up to what the Vet said, and started back to retraining him, which worked So I will keep my fingers crossed for you |

| Sugar was a marking fool until he was neutered and then he stopped (inside at least)- so I would say there is a good chance it's a permanent change.

| OH gosh, I'm so glad you replied! I seriously am afraid to believe it, LOL! Of course, I didn't mention first that in the last few days, he's taken to pooping in the living room during the night...but I'm thinking it might be b/c I give them a snack usually at around 8 pm (for Max it's a little bit of dry food and for Madison a couple of Tablespoons of his rice/turkey mix since if I give him kibble at night it seems not to settle his tummy) and maybe he doesn't actually GO when I let them out before we go to bed. So I'm decreasing the amount that he gets at night. Plus, it's been so darned hot here (it was 122 deg. today), so they can't be outside for as long as they normally are. Gotta get those bells made and train them to use them! I hope it's a dream that lasts forever too, LOL. Thanks everyone!
