I had a similar experience with Abbey this morning. She ALWAYS gets burrs in her hair when she goes outside but usually only in her legs. Well...my BF took her out this morning and she came inside...OMG she was covered...covered. It was so bad. Her whole face was covered in burrs her back everything. The BF said she rolled in them. I'm telling you we spent hours picking them out and it was over a hundred. She lost some hair along with it to. It was so sad. So...I feel your pain...what a day.

| OH NO!! Poor Dina and Poor Babies! The peanut butter should work...if you can keep one still long enough to keep rubbing it in. Plus, on a bright side, it might be a good "snack" to keep them busy while you are getting it out as well! ![]() We've always used peanut butter, but I have heard that ice works well too. If you have to cut some hair shorter, do you think it can be combed over where that spot doesn't show? I know that sounds crazy, but that might save you having to cut all over really short. Those silly babies...I wonder where in the world they found gum?! I wish I was closer to help you out! Four babies w/ gum in their hair...oh my!!!! Sending big hugs and I hope the PB works well!

| Luvs Lulu Donating Member | My daughter forever gets gum in her hair...god only knows how. I usually take an ice cube and hold it on the gum so it stiffens up then put a dab of baby oil on it and the gum slides right off.

| My little Shadow Donating YT Member | Oh, I'm hoping you can get this out without much problem! I don't want to scare you, but did you read this post? Only because you mentioned that you didn't know where they got the gum from?? Hope not, but, just to be safe: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sic...toxic-gum.html

| I just wanted to add that you need to shampoo hair after the Goo Be Gone. I think it is petroleum based and would be dangerous if swallowed. sigh Hope the peanut butter works! |

| The gum is all gone!! Thanks for the help everyone. I tried the peanut butter first and it worked great. The only problem was the babies eating the PB off of each other, LOL!! Paisley and Trixie are pretty ticked off at me and giving attitudes. The hate being brushed, so this was torture. Pia and Snoot were not bad, so it was no big deal for them. Anyways, thanks for all the help. I snapped a few pics real quick. ![]() Pic 1- Paisley passed out Pic 2- Snoot (yes, I made a spot for him under my desk, lol)Pic 3- Trixie passed out Pic 4- Pia (one of her fav spots)

| Well, I know that when my daughters were very young and got it in their hair, the only thing that worked and was painless was peanut butter - worked every time! |
