OMG I just saw this. I have family around that area and if they hadn't been saved, I'd be calling around. I wish my hubby wasn't being such a monkey's butt I'd have my new baby already :( |
aww i am so glad they made it safely....you guys are amazing! |
You girls are amazing! They are the sweetest, cutest looking dogs! I'd take them in a second if I knew I could afford them. Thank you for giving these babies a second shot at life. They look so full of life for it to be taken away from them! (((HUGS))) to you all. You are an inspiration! :) |
I truely believe that does know. Quote:

How adorable they are. The thought of what could have happened to them puts chills down my arms. Bless all of you that have been involved in this rescue. Thank the good Lord above for people like you who do such a wonderful service to dogs that are in dire need of love by giving them a second chance at life. What a way to start the morning by reading this heartwarming story. Have a great day ladies and I hope and know you will find that perfect home for them. Lucky little babies. |
OHHHHHHH! I LOVE the pictures!!!! Whoever adopts both of them is in for a real treat!! |
Thank goodness this story had a happy ending.....you guys did a brilliant job.:D |
Amazing Job  - Amazing Pups :) - Amazing how they could have been PTS  THANK YOU ;) |
2 Attachment(s) Here they are the "Oklahoma Heartbreakers" - Bo and Faith - all cleaned up, smelling good and looking "Oh, so fine!" :D Doesn't Faith look happy? And, I think red is definitely Bo's color. LOL....they are watching Dave with the treats in his hand :) |
Oh they are soooo funny! They look so cute & of course happy. Is Bo more active today or still lazy? |

They had a long day yesterday. I wonder if the rabies shot he got before we left made him a little lethargic??? They look so good jen. I am so glad that we were able to get them out of there. The animal shelter really was a pretty small building, not sure how many dogs they had there. Oh, btw I'm pretty sure that the only shot they had was the rabies we got for them, I meant to tell angi that. How did the vet visit go?? |

They have done so great with potty training and have had only 2 accidents, which were really my fault for not getting them out quickly enough after dinner. Otherwise every time they have gone outside. So, whoever gets them shouldn't have ANY problem with house training..........how amazing is that?!?! OH....and here's another great thing - both of them let me trim their nails with no struggle.....easiest pets I've ever trimmed nails for. |
I just saw your post Kat. I do have their rabies tag and Angi said they got only the rabies vaccine. I don't think it affected him too badly, he was active last night. Although both did settle right in to bed, I think the long trip wore them out. No vet visit today, hopefully tomorrow. Our regular vet is out of town and suggested using this other. I'm waiting on a call back from him about low cost s/n. Amazingly both of them appear very healthy. I cleaned their teeth today, and used Petzlife gel on them. There was very little build-up, their teeth looked very white. Bo does have those retained puppy teeth, that will come out when he's neutered. |
Yea I noticed the teeth. Faith also has retained cainies can't remember if they were top or bottom. I had made a pit stop in Elk City before heading to Weatherford to comb out some of the burrs on them (hubby let them roll on the roadside during potty break, I should have made him comb out the burrs) and they got to meet my yorkie, Pepper and my 2 rescues Cricket and Wiley, they did so good with them. I don't think that they will have any problems if whoever adopts them has other dogs. I was told that a man had them for 3 days then turned them over to animal control, wonder if he had them longer than that or if they were puppies that someone couldn't sell (can't imagine that). I agree they are very healthy for strays that didn't know if they would eat or not. Have you noticed Faith when she poos, she balances herself on her front legs and lifts up her back legs completely off the ground. Its so cute!! |
LOL....I noticed Faith's unique poo position earlier today....she's such a GIRL! She does feel thinner than Bo....lol, he probably has ate the bigger half of their recent meals. I've been giving them both supplements with their food and hopefully they will soon be gaining a little weight. I don't think anyone with other pets will have a problem either. Faith is very receptive to any of the dogs here so far. Bo is fine with them too, but not as eager as Faith. We just got back from a walk and they both did so good. LOL...Faith acted like she didn't understand why it wasn't a "run" instead of the walk....she tried to bound around the block :D |
BLESS YOU GIRLS for recusing these sweet precious babies!! I was SO worried about them!! My heart was just BREAKING and now I am crying tears of joy....literally :) I am so thrilled that these babies were saved....how could ANYONE NOT want them??? Just so sad to even think about. You are angels for doing what you did....both of these little ones are just PRECIOUS....and they have been given the most perfect names too - I am just beyond thrilled with this outcome! Give those little sweethearts big hugs for me!!! |
New Pictures 2 Attachment(s) These were from today and are a little more close up. Also, we thought they needed individual pictures. I trimmed hair above their eyes, so you could see them a little better. I believe Faith is going to have a more silky/yorkie type coat. First here's Faith - she always looks so happy and loves to play. Attachment 225126 And Bo, he is still the big brother but has been playing quite a bit today. It broke my heart when I saw them playing together, I couldn't help but think life had been way too serious to play much lately. Attachment 225127 |
OMGosh I love them! |

what an amazing story! Thank God for women like all of you. To think those beautiful babies were going to be pts. Jen, I couldn't think of anyone else in this world that I'd want those two to be with. I am sure they will thrive in your care and probably come to know true, unconditional love for the first time in their short lives. Thank you all for being such caring women and for doing what you did. Random acts of kindness are just the best things in life. |
What Thankful Babies! You can see in their eyes, from the first photos to the latest ones... they finally know that they will be loved like they should have been all along. I wish all Shelters had the "No Kill" policy. |
The dog world will be a better place with ladies like you. They are really cute dogs...I love them... |
What a lovely story !!! And the story doesn't end here, it begins... |

Faith and Bo's future looks brighter each day. Both have gained weight, especially her...she was very thin...not so much anymore:) OKYR has a couple of families interested in adopting already...and they WILL go together! One family I spoke with this evening is coming tomorrow to become acquainted. He is a vet, and she is a stay at home mom of 3, ages 5, 7, & 9. They had recently lost their 9 year old yorkie to congestive heart failure. |
