| my poor babyy i just picked up my Carter from my vet where he was boarded over the weekend for the first time ever. the vet assistant said he was one of the happiest puppies they'd had and looved to play all day, but ever since we've been home he's been sick! he's thrown up about six times since I brought him home at 11. i called the vet a few hours ago and they said he was probably just excited to be back home with his mommy and to watch him for the next six or so hours before trying to give him water or food. a friend of mine who has yorkies suggested a little rice to settle his stomach. i just feel so bad for him... poor baby is just laying next to me cuddling right now!

| Awww, poor baby. I am sure that he just missed you so much and is so happy to be home again and being able to snuggle with you. Hope he feels better soon.

| Do you know anyone else who has boarded their dog at your vet? Do they have the facilities so the dogs can run around all day? Can't imagine , but maybe I'm wrong, that a vet would have time to play with all their patients they see...And who stays with them on Sat and Sun...? Aren't vets closed on Sun? I'm sure your baby was homesick and will be fine, but keep an eye on your little one... I visited a 'pet spa' here in Az and all it was is 3 x 5 cement rooms with a window in the door, a bed raised from the floor and some of them had tv s ...They did have a large fenced in are where the big and little dogs ran around at different times...It smelled and I was afraid to walk down the prison-like hall to see all the cells, I mean rooms...Either the dog was asleep or barking at the door to get out....And this was a 'spa' ... We walked out.... We were actually looking for a new groomer and said we wanted to see the place, so we got the tour...Unfortunately, the groomer we picked handed her to us and when we got out we noticed her limping , thought she had her sister's harness on wrong (we have 3 dogs) took her home and yep, she's limping..I called back and of course nothing happened while she was with them !!!! Okay, we are never going there again...Something happened to her pad...She was fine after a few days..We now groom them ourselves, hair grows back fast , right?

| He's doing a lot better, but I only gave him just a little food and water but he hasn't been sick in several hours. My guess is he was over excited and really worked up after seeing mommy again I thought that too about the vet, but they have a really good facility and they get lots of attention and have people there everyday. Actually I think he got more attention that usual because all the girls were in love with him! It pays to be a cute lil Yorkie I guess lol
