| Something weird just happened My puppy was walking across the kitchen shaking her head violently back and forth and foaming at the mouth. I called the vets emergency number. The vet said she probably got a bad taste of something in her mouth, like a bug or something. She stopped now, and seems normal. I just have never heard of this before.

| It sounds like she maybe had a bug in her mouth or something or maybe picked up something she didn't like the taste of. I have had dogs do this before!

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | He's probably just trying to reassure you it isn't rabies. I know Joey would eat any bug he found and usually liked them. There are probably bugs that would cause this. If she's acting fine, I wouldn't worry about it. If it happens again, I would want to get it checked out.

| Mine react that way if they get too up close and personal with a toad. Try to get the toad away before they find it. Ugh!!!

| This happened to Lily and the beginning of spring when she tried to eat a lady bug, I took her to the sink and washed her mouth out.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I've never seen this either, and probably would have freaked out too. You did the right thing, I wish more people would call the vet, you never know.
