YT 2000 Club Member | I don't have an answer as to why God took her home, did they do blood work before the surgery? If so, did it all check out ok? I'm so very sorry for you and your families loss, my heart goes out to you. I've never lost one during surgery but I have had to make the choice to help two of our furkids to Rainbow Bridge and it hurt. Hopefully in time you'll be able to smile when you think of her instead of crying. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

| My heart just breaks for what you and you're family are going thru right now. I recently lost my special girl, Annie. You will find a lot of good folks here at YT that will listen and understand. Hugs to you and your family.

| Yes, bloodwork was done and the my vet assured me she would be fine with the anesthesia. I was especially concerned about anesthesia because she had a bad reaction when she was spayed at 7months old. He assured me she would tolerate it because she was now older and weighed more and they would be extra cautious while she was under....... I trusted in his oppinion as I have been using him to care for our pets for almost 18years. |

| I am so sorry for your loss. My lulu 2yrs ago had fractured her hip and had to have surgery. They could not complete the surgery because her heart had stopped beating toward the end. I was fortunate that the vet stopped immediately and was able to bring her back. Because her surgery could not be completed she has a severe limp. But I am so grateful to have her here with me. You are in my thoughts and prayers. LuLu, Bosley Beamer, & Baby Zoey's Mommy |

| Oh Im so sorry for your loss. RIP sweet little Cocoa. Anesthesia in little dogs can be so hard. You just never know how they would react and them being so little they have not a lot of defenses to it. Im so sorry for the loss of your baby though. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, including your baby who is missing her sister.

| I am so sorry for your loss. Unfortunately some of us on here know the heartache that goes with losing a baby. I was glad to read that you did have the blood work done. That is soooo important. With Tina I decided not to have it done because she had just had a complete check-up the week before. When they got in there to spay her she almost bled to death because we were unaware that she had Von Willebrands disease. Coming so close to losing her now I always have the blood work done on all of them. Again I am so sorry. We just never know. Hope time helps to heal the heartache because nothing seems to help when you are going through the pain. |

| Thank you EVERYONE! Thank you ALL for your very kind words. I am so fortunate to have found YT!! Maybe Coco has guided me to you all. I just pray that she forgives us for making the decision to do the surgery. I can't get the expression on her trusting little face( as I dropped her off at the vet Monday morning) out of my mind!!! |

| Oh, Honey! You have to let go of that guilt. I know it's easier said than done, but you were being the best mommy to her you could be. I think it's safe to say that we would have all done much the same thing in your shoes. (((((hugs))))) and hug your other little one today (what is her name?). She needs you now more than ever.

Coco's little sister is Sasha. It's pittiful how she looks for Coco, especially in the morning when I'm handing out the "good girl" cookies. She's getting extra attention...It's hard to heal her heart when mommy and daddy's are broken....but we're doing our best. | |
