| silly dog to excited for my yorkie puppy This may seem like an odd question, so please bare with me. I have a 5 1/2 month old, 2.8lb yorkie boy, Alastor, who is a very calm boy. I also have a great (and very, very, very happy and healthy) 1yr old 9lb Brussels Griffon named Godric who has cerebellar hypoplasia. The problem I am having is that Godric LOVES Alastor so much but can't control his body's movements very well and keeps smacking Alastor so hard that he knocks him over. Alastor seems to understand that it's not his fault and just gets up and gives Godric kisses, but I am just worried that my strong, silly Godric is going to hurt tiny Alastor. I know I can't really train Godric to NOT do this because he has no idea where he is in space, and DON'T want to keep them separated because they adore each other, but with Godric bowling Alastor over all the time I'm worried he will get seriously hurt. Does anyone have ideas or experience with something like this? Any ideas will be greatly appreciated, Sarah ps. this is a video of a cat with Godric's problem which gives great info on CH. Please watch it pps. this is godric:

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Wow, I'd never heard of this before. I can see where it would be a problem since there is such a difference in size. I'm sorry I can't help you with your question, I know there little guys are pretty tough, and seem more likely to get injured from "high" falls, but I really don't know. Hope someone can give you better information. Godric is really cute though.

| thanks, Godric is just so happy all the time so crashes into or smacks him without intending to.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Poor baby. Maybe Alastor will learn to get away when necessary.

| I'm in love with Godric. I never knew of this condition and Charley is such an inspiration! I can tell you that Lucy knows how to get out of the way when she feels threatened (meaning feet walking around her, the cats playing too rough, etc). Hopefully Alastor will learn to do the same. I don't know, people likely think I'm crazy but I would like to think that Alastor knows Godric means him no harm and would rather be bowled over than be without his special friend

| I think your yorkie will learn to get out of the way. It shouldn't take very long. I don't think (IMO) that a 9 lb doggie is so big that it would hurt the yorkie. Good luck.

| I think that Godric is adorable and imo Alastor will learn when to move out of the way eventually. I met a cat like Charley once at the sf spca the wonderful woman there that runs the kitten program called him her waking challenged kitten, they have a special adoption center called maddies place which is a good place for special animals because they don't give up and they place all kinds of animals with different needs.
