| Do Not Use Frontline PLUS - Please Apparently the Plus treatment isn't safe for small dogs...the Top Spot is. http://www.nationalpetsupply.com/com...a_control.html http://www.nationalpetsupply.com/com...html#frontline |

| I've heard this before. I do use the plus but what I do is split the dose between two of them, and it's been fine, I haven't had an outbreak of fleas and they seem not to be bothered by it. I probably will go back to the top spot but truthfully, I really hate putting anything on them at all...

| oh no! this is what our vet gave us for Joey - I already gave him a dose. Why do they say that it is not safe for small dogs? Is it lethal? Do you think I could take it back to my vet and ask for the regular Frontline? |

| I use Revolution now. It seems to work well, we haven't had any problems with it. But I did have problems with the Frontline with my other dog, who is now passed away. That's why I switched to a different brand.

| My vet uses Frontline Plus and we've never had any problems with it. Where we live there is a problem with seed ticks in the area. We haven't had a problem with ticks this year but I have seen a flea or two. We are going to have the bug man come out and spray for bugs next month(if I have anything to say about it). Sylvia |

| I can use it because Rika is 11lbs, which is in the weight limit. Thanks for warning other users though. I'm going to start giving them Interceptor after there Frontline Plus is gone though because it does everything including heartworm, fleas, ticks and regular parasitic worms. More cost effective in my mind.

| My former vet gave me the Plus for Rio. After he had it on a day his hair looked like it had been burned there and his body looked like I had dipped him in boiling water! He did not get sick but he did peel all over. I have used the Top Spot ever since. With no problems. I use frontline spray on Mignon so I can give her exactly the dose she needs. It is one pump per pound. Mignon only weighs 2 and 1/2 lbs so I feel better with that. I have never seen a flea so I guess it works. |

| frontline plus I've been using frontline on both of my dogs my yorkie & shih tzu for over a year and I have never had any problems. Nor has my vet ever mentioned any potential problems. Also my Yorkie, Mollie is expecting her first litter of pups within the next week or so she is as of today 53 days. I can hardly wait. |

| I wasn't saying not to use FRONTLINE TOP SPOT....I was saying that the FRONTLINE PLUS is supposed to be dangerous. I'm not sure why. FRONTLINE TOP SPOT does kill ticks....the only thing that the PLUS does differently is kill flea eggs. I wouldn't take the chance if all it did was kill the eggs. |
