| Think it might have been the Lymes shot? My vet won't even do them on my boys. She is just too afraid to do it to little dogs. I know your buddy is a bit bigger though so maybe its not a problem. Oh I am hoping Buddy is doing well today and back to himself. My little guy had an allergic reaction to the vaccinations one time and I nearly had a heart attack... his eyes went beat red and swollen shut and then he had hives all over his body and he was rubbing on the carpet. I called the vet and they said to give him childrens benedryl. I stayed up all night with him, I just couldn't sleep until I knew he was ok. He probably thinks Im nuts! haha Anyways, hoping buddy is doing well today!

| im glad he's doin better.... i just read the post today sorry. i took abby to get her rabies shot like 3 weeks ago n she was a bit shaky. this freaked me out but we tried to keep her busy n running around. this helped n by night she was fine. im scared about her shots... she finished them n isn't due until next year now. people were sayin the rabies shot lasts about 3 years? does this mean i shudn't take her to the vet next year??? |

Your pup should go to the vet yearly for a checkup. Rabies may not be due but something else could be. Also, having her checked yearly could be preventing something else from starting up. Better safe than sorry. Thanks for your good wishes.

I guess I will never know. We have deer walking around the grounds without any fear so I know there are tons of ticks around so this shot is a must for Buddy. He's out in the grass 4x daily. There have been acouple neighbor's dogs that did get Lymes last year. Your really caught between a rock and a hard place with these shots. I guess better safe than sorry and of course it depends on where you live too. It looks like he's going to be fine but it was so tough to see him like that. Thanks for caring.

| Looks like Buddy will be ok, and thankfully is feeling better It is awful to see that happen in our little dogs. My Suzi goes in tomorrow for her last round of baby shots. The breeder gave them herself, however, started out too early. |

| I just started a thread asking for shot info for Juju! I received a notice from the Vet saying it was time. I'm nervous because she's only 4 lbs. Wylie's Mom gave me some info and is checking on some for me also. I'm so glad Buddy is doing better!!!!!! It can be so scary!
