| Seeing Their reflections So Teddy saw his reflection for the first time(when i was holding him in the bathroom). His reaction was to freak out and try to attack it. It was right before I was giving him a bath so I calmed him down or so I thought and put him in the little bit of water already in the tub(we don't have a detachable head) and he decides it's his time to act and barks, growls, jumps out of the tub and lunges at the mirrors.. I got lucky and caught him before he got anymore water everywhere and before he hurt himself.. but yeah I got soaked. he did however let me dig at his mets on his face and get most of them out.. and he doesnt seem to mind the no more tears kids shampoo I use for his head only. What are your stories of their first relfection? I was shocked over teddy's because our last dog Harley(parents dog who is no longer alive) would just look at it excitdly and cock his head side to side

| Bella loves to bark at herself...haha she stands in front of anything shiny, the dishwasher, the oven, the great grandfather clock we have and will bark at her reflection....its soo funny to see her walk by it and then do a double take and bark at herself!

| I can't make any of my 3 look at their reflection. They completely refuse. My old dog who has passed (non yorkie) was the same way. I wonder why some are interested and some aren't. I just can't believe how mine wouldn't at least have some curiosity.

| awwe poor teddy. he musta been scared out of his mind!!! well mickey's first reflection was one day we were playing fetch and the ball landed infront of our stereo. the stereo door was slightly tinted and you can somewhat see reflections. mickey ran to get the ball then he stops and stares at the screen for good 2 mins then starts barking trying to attack the screen. then a minute later i guess he lost his focus on the reflecltion and came back to me with his ball. since then i tried to get him to see his own reflection on the mirror and no such luck. |

My bathroom is the same way. I have held them up and tapped at the glass and done everything but shove their face at it but they insist on turning their head away.

I don't know if he was scared or went into defense mode. He gets jealous when another dog comes to me and tries to cut them off. Like little uggy this pug pup he plays with when it comes to me teddy will suddenly be in the play mode again and run over and knock him over and they will go back to playing lol

| My older two used to go absolutely nuts at the dogs in my floor length mirror. I had to cover it at night or they wouldn't settle down and go to sleep My youngest one, however, doesn't seem interested in mirrors or reflections at all.

| I have a full length mirror in my bedrm. The bottom 6" is constantly covered with nose prints from Baby Chloe. She can't figure out why that puppy in the mirror wont play. She barks at her own reflection in the fireplace glass, and barks at the screen saver of Zoeybear on the computer. Zoeybear has no clue about mirrors.

| The first time Epsilon saw himself he growled. Then I think he realized it was him. If he sits at the foot of the bed he can see is reflection in our full length mirror. He actually LOVES to stare at himself. For the first week after discovering the mirror he'd wake up in the morning, go to the foot of the bed and just stare at himself like he was the most beautiful creature he'd ever saw. |
