| Message from my niece in MySpace Bulletin I cant do it in this post but at the bottem of this bulletin she posted a "poster" type thing I had made for our rescue (I attached it below for you to see). I was soooo touched by her words & thoughtfulness to mention our rescue, I just cried. BTW... she is on her way to OK State to start her Veterinarian dream... I wish all kids were like her. Anyways... here it is.. I'm posting this bulletin to hopefully open up the eyes of pet owners everywhere. As many of you know I work as a vet's assistant and I am constantly around various types of animals everyday. As many pets as I see come in that are starting their new lives with their owners, I also have the unfortunate privilege of seeing unwanted pets get tossed aside. These pets end up being turned loose by their once loving owners or they call the local animal control officer and describe them as a stray that wandered up to their doorstep. There is nothing quite like bringing home that new pet and spending hours upon hours trying to teach them new tricks or simply just carrying them around. However, millions of pets are sitting and waiting on someone like you to come up to them and say Hey I'm going to take him home with me today. If you're looking for a new pet, dont factor out pets who are waiting to be adopted in a city pound or local animal shelter. All you have to do is pick up the phone and call. I guarantee that 99% of the time they will have a pet who is perfect for a new addition. I'd also like to add that my aunt and a few ladies across Oklahoma have dedicated their time and love to create Oklahoma's only Yorkie Rescue. If you or anybody that you know is looking for a new pet, here are some websites and telephone numbers to help out. Thanks, Megan Mustang Animal Shelter 376-4474 Yukon Pet's & People 350-7387 Yukon Animal Shelter 354-6312 PetSmart Adoption 440-0041 Chickasha Pet Adoption 222-0391 Animal Shelter of OK County 297-3104 Petfinders Animal Welfare 794-3332
