| Boys with bows So, i just got my brand new yorkie this past weekend, and he is a boy. I wanted a girl so i can dress her up and put bows on her since i make bows for my daughter, but when i saw Stud i just fell in love with him. I was just asking for opinions about male yorkies wearing bows. I really dont have any problem with it in fact i tried one on him right away, but my hubby is kinda weirded out about it since hes a boy. He says, "honey hes a boy they dont wear bows" and i said no one will know unless i tell them he is a boy. So what im really asking is should i put a bow on him or not? Thanks |

| I forget who it is, but someone on here has a male and female and the male has an adorable puppy cut with no top knot and the little girl has the puppy cut but with her top knot and bow and they have matching outfits but his is the boy style. This to me is just the perfect way to have them. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Joey wear bows too, he always wears a topknot, and sometimes a bow that matches his clothing. I like the little clips for everyday use. If you ever watch a dog show, you will notice all yorkies are required to wear bows. Hasn't you husband ever heard of a bow tie? Many yorkie members sell bows for boys that have sport themes, or skulls. Here's a link to the little gentleman's club with many YT vendors who sell boy bows. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...ow-thread.html

| Sorry, but I have to agree with the men on this one. Max won't ever have a top knot or bow. In fact he is going to the groomer's for his first time on Tuesday. I'm keeping him in the puppy cut. |

Senior Yorkie Talker | I have a boy and he wears his hair up, it helps keep his eyes from getting gunky, plus he looks super cute But I don't have any bows yet, I just use rubber bands, because I don't know anyone who makes boy boys.

| Bear will definitely wear bows as soon as he has enough hair to. I've ordered a bunch of bows for him in "manly" colors, lol. My hubby also tells me that he shouldn't be wearing bows, but whatever!!! It's my dog & I can do what I want with him Amy

Donating YT 500 Club Member | My husbands says the same about bows in Nolee's hair. I always have a top knot with a rubber band holder. Only on special occasions I will put a bow. When he was a puppy he always had bows, like it or not!!! As everyone else said, yorkies have topknots and will wear bows, male or female!!

| If it would stay in Hot Rod's hair, he'd have a bow. I am just able to get the front of his hair in a scrunchie thingie, but he manages to mash it out on the carpet.

| Ranger has a zillion "boy bows," they are DARLING!!! My hubby at first pretended to hate it, but if we would go somewhere without one he would casually ask if I was going to put one in!!! Anyway, I cut off his topknot this month because it was getting warm and I wanted something a bit less maintanance. Kinda sad though Here are some pics!!

| a lot of yorkies in the competition pics wear bows. even if its a boy. mostly red. i do agree that red is the best colour for yorkies. my mickey used to wear bow pins when he was younger. (they were like a $2-3 at the pet shop) that was all i could afford to buy him when i was 9 years old so i used to always buy him bows and make him wear it. he didn't like it of course. so i ended wearing them lmao i really see nothing wrong with boys wearing bows. my mickey also owns pink shoes :P |
