| Hi from Chippy and his Mom We just discovered your wonderful website today 6/6/08. My fiancee and I adopted Chippy from the local humane society last August. We've had him now 9 months. We think he's around 9 years old. He is just the sweetest and best little guy. He only has 14 teeth out of 42. When he came home with us, he had 7 rotten teeth and we had them removed and he was a champ! You could feel the bones on his back and now he's gained 4 pounds and weighs in at 9 pounds! He's got the most beautiful coat and he smiles with the front teeth that he predominantly has! He has a displaced knee on his back leg, bone spurs on his back, and has that cough associated with his trachea but he loves his daddy and me and eats well, plays with his toys, loves his treats, and runs and jumps the best he can! He really loves bed time and sleeps on top the covers between us. What a wonderful blessing he is..... |

| Thanks Mayas Mommy and Sloan so nice to find lovers of yorkies as i am! My first yorkie bud bud was almost 14 when i lost him to cancer and heart failure 6 years ago. i loved him so much that i had him cremated and he's in a little monument on my dresser! chippy is just so wonderful and he loves to be loved, so how someone could have not been good to him breaks my heart! but we go on from here and are just so thankful we found him. do you know there were 6 other applications ahead of ours to adopt him and one by one i guess they didn't want him! YEA.....chippy came home with us! your babies are beautiful! i downloaded a pic but didn't have any success getting it on here. will try again later. thanks so much for writing! |

| Welcome to YT I just love to hear a story with a happy ending! Too many sad ones out there. I will never understand how some people just discard their dogs but in your case I have to say it sounds like a blessing for Chippy. I'm sure he is so grateful that he can finally chew his food without pain. 14 teeth! That's a lot! Probably one of the reasons he was so skinny. I think you were meant to find him if all those people ahead of you changed their minds. Good for you! Wishing you all the best and enjoy your little fur ball

| We're the lucky ones this is great and you all are great. can't wait to see all the yorkie babies everyone has and their ages and how they're doing! Thank you for such kind words. you know WE'RE the lucky ones........he's touched our lives with his stamena and his joy.......i guess we're a great threesome----all middle aged! oh and he loves to do the whole licking thing non-stop. guess he doesn't have too many teeth to keep his long tongue inside his mouth. very cute.....we saw this t-shirt at an event and should have gotten it then but it said "he can't hold his licker." (liquor hee hee).....cute huh? |
