Pookie's breeder has been there for me every step of the way. Answering any questions I may have had. Who knows your baby better than the breeder? I have a lot of respect for you wonderful people. I admire your desire, dedication and knowledge. Without you guys we wouldn't have our babies. I send Pookie's breeder pictures and we talk on the phone frequently. I'm always interested in hearing about how the other pups in the litter are doing. Hats off to all responsible breeders.

:thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: I know how you feel it often happens and us as Breeder worry about our little babies even tho they have new homes, it's very hard when the contact has just dropped and you, have to wonder why. No our love NEVER stops as Breeders for EACH puppy that we adopt out, I know mine never has. I bawl and cry like a big baby when they leave my home and even have the new parents crying too. I still send birthday cards every year to each of my adopted puppies. I hope they will contact you soon. :) Lee

It's a two-way street. The same could be said for some breeders. :)

I know where you are coming from... I've had a few people that never let me know if they were happy with the puppy...
I wonder how the puppies looked as adults... weight as adults ... you always wonder and hope everything went alright.
I know I appreciate the families that send me updates so much and always try to let them know how much I appreciate hearing from them.

ive sent pictures about 4 or 5 times to pebbles breeder.. she ASKED for pics for the kids.. but i get no response at all from her? it kind of upsets me to be honest...is it so hard to say thanks or something? :(

i think i go over board with keeping in touch lol. laceys breeder and i have a great relationship she is like extended family to us. i also keep in touch with lolas breeder. i love that i know they care about my dogs still.:thumbup::animal-pa

thanks to the OP for posting this! i am glad you gave us this gentle reminder :)

i try to keep in touch with my kids breeders too...i have not emailed ginos breeder in a while but did a couple of times in the month after i picked him up :) i also wanted to send her pictures but for some reason kodak gallery online does not accept their email address as valid :( but i need to upload some into photobucket so they can see how handsome he is! :D

i email regularly with miss buffeys breeder and TRY to send her pictures every few weeks...when i do , there are usually 100+ pictures :p lol ... i know she loves seeing the pictures and she always emails me back as soon as she gets a chance...she is the best! :)

I am in contact with both breeders i've bought from,, probably OD them both with pics and emails at times it seems, ,lol,, but i do hear back from them both as they have time,, I mean they are busy with kennels and babies,, but i believe they love hearing their babies are so well loved and cared for here! and that they want to know how they are doing. I'd hate to have bought from a breeder who DIDN'T care what happens with their pups. I've sent both breeders lots of new clients and feel they appreciate that as well.

If I ever get a yorkie from a breeder, I hope it's someone who cares as much as you!!!

And I would definately send updates and pics!!!

You inspired me, after I read this thread yesterday. (I do keep in touch with Piccolo's breeder, and she is wonderful.) Because of this thread, however, I sent an updated picture and she returned the nicest message. Thanks for the inspiration! :)

i am the exact same way...hehe...so in my part i call my buyers once in a while or email them...

i also keep in contact with my breeders...only because being a breeder myself i want my buyers to keep in contact with me...hehe
