| Is it safe to take my yorkie out... if he still needs his last puppy shot? I heard that they are really sensitive and they can catch anything if they dont have all their puppy shots. I hate just having him home all day and not being able to take him to the stores with me and show him off lol. Hes to cute to be sitting at home lol. I was just wondering when i can axtually expose him to the public and other dogs. any help? |

| I really wouldn't get him out until he's finished especially on account of parvo, it's very serious & almost always deadly!! Just better to be safe than sorry oh! & welcome to yorkietalk!!

| You can take him out with you in public but he cannot be put on the ground or in contact with other dogs. It is best to wait for the last puppy shot, you would hate for him to catch something that could have been prevented. I know it seems like a long time to wait but only one more shot for his safety then he can go explore the big wide world!!!! Please wait, it is best to keep him protected....you would never forgive yourself if something happened to him. So sorry....I forgot to welcome you!!! Welcome! Welcome!! WELCOME TO YT!!!

| I'm going to let someone else answer this one!! I was so paranoid w/Regan catching something that I litter-box trained her, so I didn't let her go outside at all until she had all of her shots!! look forward to some pics of your baby!!

| Yes. You can take your baby out into your own backyard as long as there haven't been any other dogs back there of which you don't know their vaccination history. My pup is my only dog and I had him in my yard because I knew that no other dogs had been there.
