| Looking at a Yorkie tomorrow Hi, I am brand new to this board. We are looking at a Yorkshire Terrier/Biewer Yorkshire Terrier-from mom (Grand-Mom is AKC Reg)mix with a Yorkshire Terrier (Dad) GrandDad is German Reg. I was wondering if this type of Yorkie falls in with the recessive gene info I have been reading about. Any info would be great. I can't wait to meet her. I have wanted a Yorkie for a long time. | Visit Our visit went so so. I had a huge headache afterward because the family smoked-I still feel nauseas. They have 10 or 12 dogs and all of them live in the house. The momma and babies were also in the same area. They were not well groomed -lots of straggly hair and they seemed so skinny. The momma had a very spiny back-is this typical? They do not take deposits nor do we need to sign a contract. They did not ask who we are or our environment. They were VERY nice people. Any feedback? |

| I would say this person does not seem like a good breeder, have they done all the health tests on the dogs.

| Welcome to the board.. Sorry your visit was not such a good experience.. even though the people were very nice. Most breeders that are not really good are extremely nice .. try to sell the puppies ofcourse.. As i read your story about the dogs didnt look good.. I wouldn't take a puppy from there.. You never know ofcourse. even though you get a puppy from a very good breeder, there is always a risk that the puppy can get sick ... you cant have 100% garantueed.. But you can mostly hear from people who got puppies from the same breeder that they r good or bad.. or so so.. I think f you really care about the mom and the puppies,. you take care of them very well. Including the hair.. Maybe if you look around the board you can also ask a question if someone knows a good breeder around your area... Its just an suggestion; Good luck and relax.. You find your baby soon i think. Love Priscilla and Snickers |
