Good point but the simple truth is I'm too lazy to be on a 2 hour search to find it - I can't remember where it was - but I do know WHAT it was ....it was a NEWSPAPER report - to me...THAT'S a valid source of information.

It was only one of many many bad things I''ve read about and heard about from people who has actual dealings with that site.

Thanks Brenda and I do appreciate that. If she did not get the info from a public source or a newspaper then since arrest records are a part of public record I should be able to find something. I just thought she would save me some time by giving me a reference. No problem. I will locate it and post it here.

Ok, well I'm speaking for myself then. I know I have been around for a while and there are times when I have been given info and asked not to share my sources. Just a thought.

Kim...do you not take my word for anything ? I feel everytime I post you go out of your way to find the opposite ...it's cool to want to give out 2 sides - but can we look at this very simply ?

IF someone is consistently in trouble with the law - and has multiple lawsuits and complaints - WHY BOTHER looking for any more information ? The facts are there to see. I don't see why this has turned into a mission -

the BEST thing we can do on these sites is WARN others who don't know ...to stay clear of the sites WE happen to know are bad....EASY.

Not to change the subject...but this is starting to sound like the Pet Store threads - YES they are all bad and I know you like defending the mom & Pop stores - but they are ALL bad.

They need to be shut down - saying there might be ONE good thing about a PET STORE doesn't make what they do right either - they buy from MILLS....they ALL need to be stopped. THAT is a better cause for you to research than this is.

I think I'd much rather see you go after them than try with this one site. You like to research and debate - let's maybe put that energy towards a cause that needs ALOT more help than the WOC

I am not going to take this any further off topic than it already is except to answer you by saying ALL PET STORES THAT BUY THEIR PUPPIES FROM PUPPY MILLS ARE BAD!! We agree on that and I am actively working to stop puppymills and petstores and the WOC is one of those...and a big one!! It is my intention to attempt to contact as many of the celebrities who have purchased dogs from them as I can in the hopes of finding one who will speak out against them. I cannot go to them without the facts and just saying..."The WOC is evil and bad". I have to KNOW what I am talking about and have all the facts to proceed.

If the business wasn't bad, there wouldn't be thousands of complaints. Regardless of what the facts are and what the convictions were, I am going to believe 1,000 consumers over 1 bad business owner.
I don't need facts to justify the cause of why I am telling everyone to stay away from them. Sometimes you have to look past facts (of when, where and how she got convicted) into the hearts of those thousands of people who were expecting a dog and never received one, the ones who are all thousands of dollars poorer because of her. The dated facts in this case are very trivial.

But this is my opinion.

I'm actually glad you came around to that view on Pet Stores - and good luck...taking on GOOD causes can only have good results.

and Natalie - I agree - I'm that way too. I'd rather warn someone asap about a bad site. There are plenty of GOOD sites to direct people to ...rather than dwell on the minute details of a bad site.

I did a little research, and I swa the press release for the lawsuit that was filed in 2003 by six customers but I couldn't find out how the lawsuit ended up. Does anyone know.

Was that the wrong assumption here ?

I totally respect that Natalie, but as an attorney I have the power to help shut them down! I cannot however, do it with just the stories on the internet...I need those stories, testimonials and the facts of the convictions, the criminal records and the USDA violations, all of which are documented. A judge or jury cannot convict or find against someone because we heard some where that this or that happened. It has to be verified and has to have actually happened.

Where did you see the 1000s of complaints you write about? I have not seen those numbers and would love to have your source. Those kinds of numbers would definitely seal the case up tight and make you really wonder how they are still in business. You wonder if they have friends in high places that are keeping them afloat. I want to know.

Earlier you said I post just the opposite of you, but the truth is that we agree 99% of the time...I feel that you just misinterpret my need for solid information as some sort of opposition when it isn't at all. I do not support puppymills, I do not support pet stores that buy their puppies from puppymills and I never have. I don't support the WOC and I would do whatever I could to close them down. I have not changed my view on any of these issues. I just do not go around writing "off the cuff" and following the crowd without knowing all the facts. It would be responsible in my opinion to do so.

I did a check of the criminal offender registry in Florida and there was no arrest record for Gilda Perez Anderson so I will have to search other states I guess.

The issue with the celebrities was always viewed by me as a way to help shut them down!

I also do not post on things I'm not sure of....I've made assumptions in the past and now stay clear unless I've seen something for myself....and no - you weren't clear in your original posts - it sounded like you were looking to find good things about the site before you made up YOUR mind. Fine - but hundreds of people can't be lying.
