I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Dogs, like people, shouldn't have too many treats. Dogs that get lots and lots of exercise, like humans, can handle more treats. I really don't believe dogs enjoy the experience of eating treats like humans do; they don't really savor them or think about them after eating. Most treats are empty calories, and could ruin the appetite for more nutritious food. So I recommend going easy on the treats, unless it's a nutritious food, and by that I mean every bit as healthful as their normal food.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I was told to give one of mine a little ginger cookie for carsickness. I would think a little once in awhile is fine. You may want to ask your vet next time you go in

| I try to keep treats as healthy as possible. Chattiesmom on here sells great treats called Yorkie Yummies, and I've just found out they come in two flavors now! I also give mine Cheerios, fresh veggies and fresh fruit as treats.
