| You can report them or file a police report anonymously. They won't release your name if you ask them not to. Pictures are good to have and video is even better, if you can. Good luck, let us know what happens.

| That seems kind of odd calling the police on someone for pulling in your drive. I really couldn't see myself calling the police and saying "someone just pulled up in my driveway and honked their horn".

| You are in your right... If they were your pets they obviously would'nt be in those conditions... You are righteously a concerned citizen, and those neighbors are not responsible pet owners... I hope that organization can get them adopted by someone who will care and protect them... People like you make a difference in our society... |

| Let us know when you hear back from the rescue. I know the feeling. the bad thing is, you don't know what kind of mange she has. Of course, it could also be severe flea bit dermatitis. Her ears may be fly bitten, resulting in a crusty bloody mess. Sad. Just sad. People like that should be forced to live the same way they make their dogs live. Here's an article I wrote on chaining up dogs? 910pets - Barking Up the Right Tree archive We are trying to get this made illegal in my county here in NC. |

| I have a very good friend who is a police officer in the next county over. I call him at least twice a month with questions. We should charge him to answer questions on here lol. I hope we are helping, emilyann. I'm rooting for you and the dog! Please keep us posted. |

| oh wow, that poor dog!!! I hope the rescue can come save him! As for your situation with your neighbor, PLEASE be careful!! He sounds like a real loon! Keep a voice recorder by the door is a good idea. You can never be too safe. Have you been able to get pictures?

| It sounds like he is trying to instill fear in you by just driving into your driveway and honking and then asking a day later if you called the police on him. Be careful with your little one if he had asked you to sell her to him before, whether he was just joking or not.

| if you dont do something for that dog, no one will. you can file a police report without them knowing you did it. i have called animal control on a neighbor (i lived in texas) and reported them for dragging her puppy down the road by his throat and not giving him sufficient shelter ( all dogs MUST have food, water and shelter if they are outside). please file a report for him. Best of luck to ya, I am hoping a shelter or rescue will take him in. If he comes to your porch again, i would hold him there, and call the pound to get him. I would try to negotiate with the pound not to euthanize him ( or better yet take him to a no kill shelter) and that you will help find a rescue for him... . i dunno, i wish you the best (and the dog too!) and let us know what happens to him! thanks for looking out for the guy...

| Sorry I never updated this. I tried to take pictures whenever I'd go out and check the mail (my camera wouldn't zoom in far enough from inside our house) and got 2 shots but nothing like I wanted. The pictures I took didn't really show anything (she was sitting when I took them) and the couple sold one of their vehicles so were using one and I had no idea when one was home and the other wasn't. A few days later anyway the dog disappeared like most of their dogs do. I have no idea what they do with them or if they just break lose and run away (I doubt it). I'm hoping they don't get anymore dogs because they used to have a different one pretty much every 2 weeks. I know this update doesn't really put anyone at ease but I tried and I really wasn't going to put my life or Lilly's life on the line while my boyfriend's away working.
