I have not bred yorkies (yet:P) , but I am feeling sympathy at some attacks towards parti-colored, chocolate, and golden breeders here. What makes them irresponsible, or disrespectful of the breed as a whole? I think we can disagree with each other, but I've not saw one pro-alternate color personally attack a ''traditional'' color person...but I've saw vice-versa :( I'm new to this forum and I'm already seeing ugliness!

I don't think it's an attack on ethics so much as an expressed feeling of just not understanding them. I personally would question the motivations of anyone who breeds them because I have run accross so many people breeding with no goal other than to produce something different that will pull in more money. Does that mean that is the case with everyone? No...some of the parti breeders that have posted in this thread have proven their are exceptions. There are lots of things that have been said here that could be deemed an attack if you choose to interpret them that way. :)

Even though I totally understand and respect the opinion of breeding to standard, I don't think that all off-color breeders are unethical at all. A good majority of them are striving to get the off-color's recognized.
