| D Is For Doggie Daycare They just had a special report on the news. D is for Doggy Daycare in Chelsea (NYC) is not a licensed establishment. They had a puppy there yesterday that the owner asked be put with the small dogs. Well they put it with the big dogs and it was attacked. It seems that the dogs collar got caught in his mouth and when he flipped out the other dogs started to bite him. He became unconscious. This establishment is under investigation. Please do not leave your dogs there. |

| Not sure what kind it was, looked like a mutt but I could be wrong. IN any event when the owner asked them to put them with the small dogs, they didn't. I think his collar got caught in his mouth and when he went crazy the other dogs started biting him. I was watching the center on line yesterday and I swear in Room 3 I saw dogs fighting. I watch it all the time, especially when you cuties are there. Furthermore, they have no license. It was on Channel NY1 its a cablevision channel. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | that poor dog....I'd be very leery of a daycare that put a small dog with bigger dogs - though dogs of any size can attack. |

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Hey sue did you also see the shee shee grooming spot her in Manhattan that the dog was attacked and almost had his leg ripped off. The groomers said they are not responsible becuase you sign a waiver when you leave your dog and you know that they animals left to be groomed are not caged.

| poor baby! Now..i don't know what to do..it took me a long long time to find a place that i really love and i thought i found it until now..that place is also very convenient since it is around where i work and opens til 9pm. I take mine there when i know i might have to stay late at work. there are a lot more around where i live in UPW but they all close early and they are not as clean is D is for Doggy. And i also just bought around $1000 worth of daycare package..now i really don't know what to do..

| and I think the should have had a mid size group also. I think personally i would not feel comfortable if they put a 20lb dog in a small dog group. I know they are mostly yorkies, chi, and maltese in that room and the max weight is around 15lb. I think 20lb is prob too small for the large group too. I guess that what they could have done and have some good staff. I know that the staff in the small dog area are good about staying with the dogs.

| That's very sad. If you repeatedly found out that your dog was in the large dog section when you asked for him to be put in the small dog section (as this man did) why would you continue to take your dog there? That makes no sense!
