How can doing the right thing hurt so much??

Bless you for stepping in and helping this poor little creature. I've had a similar situation, and it is still painful to think about. You were that little kitten's guardian angel, helping it to find a better place.

Thank you for helping that baby. I understand a little how you feel. I had to turn in a neighbor for leaving their dog tied up 24/7 with no shelter from the weather. I am glad I did it but I also do not know what happened to that puppy. I hope they rehomed him and did not put him down. When I reported it and they were investigated I thought they would give him a chance and let him loose and play with him -- but no, he was gone the next day. I can't for the life of me understand why people like that get a pet in the first place.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. When there are too many kids in a childrens home, we don't start euthanizing them, to make room. It's so horrible the way some people treat animals just because they can't use words to express their pain. It's such a shame because they are so innocent, they love unconditionally, and they deserve to have the same in return.
