| aww poor wee gizzie! I don't know what you can give -- they don't make doggie cough lollies! Maybe give your vet a call and ask if there's anything you can do to help. if she has dry food it might be nice to soak it til her throat is better.

| Oh my, that's horrible. I would think it would take a lot of barking to get that hoarse. Poor baby! I wish I had an idea.

| I had a friend put a bark collar on her dog and it ended up really hoarse due to trying to bark so much and getting zapped, but it's voice came back to normal after a couple of days. I wouldn't worry too much about it just yet. |

| I had the same thing happen to my Chihuahua. Obie is the sterotypical Chi. He barks at everthing that makes noise or moves, to the point I have spoken to a Vet and a trainer for help. One day while I was out he must have barked non stop and made himself hoarse. For the following 2 days he barked but silently. His whole body would jump when he barked from his effort but not a peep. Don't worry it came back, even thought some of my family hoped it wouldn't.

| That's what happened to my first yorkie when I boarded her, so I never boarded them again. Now I just get a pet sitter that comes and lives at my house when I go on vacation. I remember that her voice came back within a few days.
