people at my target suck!!! its not even a super target just a regular one and they do not let u bring ur pets in even if they are in carriers!!! its the target in fort lauderdale in coral ridge shopping center.....i no longer shop at target anymore |
I take zeus & augie (not both at the same time) to pretty much any store. I keep them in the carrier. I actually took him out at Target to try on one of the sweaters they had around late february. Saved me a trip back to return it :D I've taken them into Wegmans (local grocery store), the checkout girl was like, is that a dog? I said yes, what are they gonna do throw me out, I was already checking out. I opened the bag, and she petted Augie, then the custmoer behind me came over to see him. It was fun. I used to take Zeus everywhere. Restaurants, grocery stores, shopping stores, pretty much anywhere except a mall (i'm usually there too long). As long as I don't advertise it, no one knows. The carrier can easily pass as a large purse. Forgot to mention, I took Augie with me to Walgreens (pharmacy) late at night (around 1am) I shoved him in my coat, the pharmacist knew right away and he wanted to see him, it was so cute. |
So far, I taken mine to Target, blockbuster, bestbuy... sometimes i ask before goinging in and sometimes i just go rite thru like i own the place haha. if they dont want my $$$ because of a little dog then i take my $$$ to another place, but i think some places are starting to realize hoe much money dog owners/lover spend on their furballs that some places are starting to open doors, the place where i take my car to get clean even as a water stations for dogs!!!! |

I took Mika to Asda (owned by Wallmart!) in her carrier but she started crying so I had to hurry up and go through the self serve! As I just got through the til she stuck her head out and an OAP spotted her, he gave the most disapproving look I just shuffled out quickly trying hard not to giggle:grin2:TEEHEE |

I realize this is an old thread...but today when I was at Macy's, there was a woman shopping with 2 little lovely Yorkies in a stroller. The store personnel helping her didn't flinch! :-) They were so sweet to see. |
I love taking Brielle on errands.:) We have been to Walmart, Target, bank, Post office Bed Bath N beyond, Christmas tree Shop. In Walmart and Target she stays in her bag |
I think for the most part as long as the store sells food, regardless if its a grocery store or not, they don't allow pets. I took Lily to Penny's with me a couple of weekends ago in her carrier. Her head was sticking out the whole time..hardly anyone noticed. The cashier finally noticed after about 5 minutes. |
My Bella has visited, Walmart, Target, Walgreens and then yesterday we had our grandkids with us and they wanted What a burger (burger chain in Texas) so we walked in, I immediately took a booth (Bella is in her front pouch that I bought at Petsmart, of course her little head is sticking out cuz she can smell the food, lol). We all had a nice meal then just before we left, my g'daughter says look Nana, there's a camera, I said 'oh well, apparently no one is watching it'. Anyway, I don't ask... I feel it is easier to get forgiveness than it is to get permission. I love my Bella and want her with me as much as I can have her. |
4 Attachment(s) My two go with me on errands several times a week. They ride in their KB Alex and no one knows any different :p They have been everywhere... Malls, hair appointments, movies, grocery stores, restaurants, doctor appointments etc. They enjoy being with me and travel really well in the bag. I figure they are quieter and cleaner than the children I see, so why not? 1. At a vet appointment 2. At Lowe's 3. In a fitting room 4. Couver at my hair appointment (Khloe didn't come because she hasn't learned to stay in the bag and not walk all over the place :p) |
I will definitely try this when Targets come to Canada! SOON! As target has bought out every zellers SO HAPPY! But Alberta seems fairly dog friendly no matter where you go! I love taking them to Canadian Tire because they actually have dog treats throughout the store :D Mind you they are the cheap biscuts, so I usually only take one and give him a very small piece buuut they just love it! |

Is it bad that I laughed REALLY hard at the promotional picture? I could NEVER get Rhia into a bag like that. She hates it! XD I do wish I could bring her places though! |
