| how long is too long to hold pee-pee Hello everyone, I have just a quick question. My little Yorkie (Gracie) is almost 14mos old and weighs about 4.5lbs. Today I left for work @ 9:00 am and was home @ 4:00 pm. She has pee pads to use but did not. Should I worry that she is holding her pee-pee too long. Can this hurt her? She ran right out and peed forever. I'm just concerned that she is so small and holding herself so long. Thanks for the help. By the way..........I just love YT. I have gotten so much info and help from all of you and I can't tell you how much I appreciate all your wisdom. Thanks again......Donna and the clan |

YT Addict | My puppy didn't want to use the pee pad at first either, but what I did was put some of his pee on it and then put it in there with him. After that he knew he was supposed to pee there and now he uses them. |

| Kash actually just started holding his pee all day as well! so far, he's only done it two days in a row... i will see when i get home today if he held it for a third day. i just thought this was a sign of him becoming potty trained to go potty outside only (because that's ultimately what i want). although i can't imagine why he would just all of a sudden get it. lol. i guess we can't MAKE them go to the bathroom if we're not at home to monitor what they're doing, right? i hope it doesn't hurt them either though.

| My boys go all day sometimes without using the pee pads too. I don't know if its a bad thing or not.
