| Traveling Ok so we leave at 7:00 a.m. tomorrow for Louisiana about a two day trip because we are stopping at night all ready made reservations at a pet friendly hotel on the way and of course when we get there, then on sunday (Callies b-day) we are heading over to Mississippi until tuesday morning. Its gonna be a long trip and I'm sooooooo nervous because this is Callies first long trip! I made a list so I dont forget anything but I'm still freaking out that I wont be prepared for something or will forget something important. Any tips anyone has for traveling with Callie? Her birthday is sunday so I'm gonna put her b-day dress on her (made wonderfuly by fufu fashions) and give her two of her b-day presents then but have a b-day party for her when we get back with lots of toys and cake and wearing her dress again an such that sounds ok right? My grandma is like well she dosent know when her b-day is but i do and I donno I just keep taking beacuse I'm so nervous anyway let me know any tips you might have for traveling with a yorkie.

Donating YT Addict | I would schedule stops every few hours for little breaks. Let her stretch and maybe take a little walk around. I'd bring bottled water from home and some special snacks. Oh yeah and a Bully stick or something she can chew in her car seat

| Yes, don't forget her water and bowl I also travel with a first aid kit (benadryl, syringe, bandages, aveeno oatmeal wash in case of allergic reactions, ear medicine, etc.) just in case. Also shampoo and brushes (you never know what they might get into). Don't forget her favorite toys and blanket for the car. Have a wonderful trip and I'm sure she will love anything you do for her special birthday |

| wow that is one lucky girl. I think THE most important thing is that you are confident and calm in the car. If you are nervous she is going to pick up on that and be upset as well. If you think she will get bored and agitated bring a Kong already stuffed with something for her to work on. or a new nylabone or something fun like that. Layla just sleeps the whole time so i'm not really any help.. sorry. have a safe and fun trip! |

| You're too cute! I bet Callie does wonderful on your long trip! My boys drove with me and my brother and his pitt/lab mix 16 hours straight to Virginia from Mass. They did awesome!

| If she sleeps with you in bed, its good to have portable stairs so she can be free to romp from the floor to the bed. Or you can just be creative and scoot the extra chairs in the hotel room, with luggages and some pillows and create your own stairs. Also, if you have one of those baby shade for the car window, it can prevent her from overheating from the sun shining on her. gosh, every time we go on a road trip, the car is packed! And I only have 1 little luggage for me, the rest is for them. |

| Thanks everybody! My parents rented a van so if Callie gets too restless she can walk around a little and use a puppy pad but she normaly sleeps in her carseat plus she just got a new one, the lookout much better then her other one more comfy too. We will be following my grandpa and grandma in there car so if I take to much stuff they said I could put some of it in there car lol. I have almost packed everything except what she is sleeping on tonight and her toys and I'm going to bathe her in a little while so I can pack her toothbrush, toothpaste, and shampoo. Eventualy we will be metting up after a few hours after we leave with my Uncle and Aunt who moved to WV and they have a dog too so they understand the need for them to walk around and stuff so its not like I will be holding people up or anything. Again Thank you everybody!
