| Has anyone taken their babies to Walt Disney World? We will be going in October for 9 days and we can bear the thought of leaving the babies at home. But, they are NOT allowed in ANY of the rooms on Disney property. However they do have several kennels on property that they can stay at and you can visit them whenever you want.. So my question is Has anyone ever done this? Thanks in advance... |

| Check the travel board. There are several threads related to Disney World. Here is one: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/tra...ney-world.html

| I havent but I go to Walt Disney World every year an I have thought about doing it. I know they have upgraded the kennels. They have a rule that you have to walk your dog at least once a day. My brotherinlaw watches mine so I figure that is better than being in a kennel all day. Plus it would be had to fly with chachi who is 11 lbs

| Oh I didn't think about the travel board. I will go there and check now. We will be driving up so they could ride with us. I just wonder if it will be harder on them seeing us for a little while and then getting left over and over if you know what I mean. |

| We just went in February and ended up renting a house instead of staying in Disney. We checked out the kennels, it was very clean but I know that my kids would be too scared to stay in it. Oh, we also got kicked out of Downtown Disney. We had both Winston and Maggie in their carriers. They never even step on the grounds. Good luck!

| I didn't think they could stay overnight in Disney kennels. Make sure you check on that. |

| I called and they can stay overnight. I just can't decide if that would be a good idea or not... I dont know...We are staying for 9 nights so thats along time that they would have to stay there. But I dont know if I can leave them at the boarders here for nine nights and not see them. KWIM |

| We always rent a house when we go down. Besides getting to have Bonnie with us it is also cheaper than most hotels down there and you have a whole house most of which have their own private swimming pools. I don't think you can beat it. I've rented from different places. Just keep in mind that the Kissimee area is the closest to the Disney Parks. Villas2000 Florida Villas ..VRBO Vacation Rental Home

| Maybe you could find a happy home sitter..... I just would hate to leave my babies in a kennel for 9 days... it would make me sad and not able to enjoy the parks..... thats me anyway.... good luck tho! the house rentals look nice! d

| My hubby & I did the whole Disneyworld Fairy Tale wedding package 8 years ago & my Grandmother (my inspiration for getting a Yorkie) wanted to bring her Yorkie, Penny, to the resort (Grand Floridian). She ended up using the kennel there at Disney & had no problems whatsoever. More than anything, she just missed her little girl. I don't know about all of the requirements (i.e. walking) b/c I was too busy getting hitched & all, but I could find out if you like. Edited to say -- Considering Disney's dedication to detail down at Disneyworld, I would imagine the facilities are 100% top knotch.
