YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() Brushing Maggy Mays teeth is such a chore cause I cannot find a toothbrush that is really small enough for her mouth. Does anyone else have this problem? I tried using the gauze over my finger but my finger is even to big. Now I know this is gonna sound absolutely CRAZY but has anyone ever thought about taking a mascara brush and totally cleaning it and using that to brush our lil ones teeth with? I wished I could find a tooth brush actually small enough for our lil ones.

You can buy mascara brushes that have never been used. I had the same problem with Jake because he's pretty small. I got one of those fingertip dog toothbrushes, and that works great. He doesn't mind my finger in his mouth, but he HATES a regular toothbrush. I have been using PetzLife gel, followed by the spray every night, and this is such an awesome product! My vet says my boys' teeth look beautiful. My boys didn't like it at first, but they are used to it now, and it's part of our bedtime routine.

| ![]() Try visiting a Sephora store. They have clean mascara brushes out for you to use as a way to sample their products. I however, would be very careful using these as they are not made for dogs mouths. |

YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() I have one of those that came with the toothpaste, but seeings how just my finger is to big and a baby toothbrush is to big, having the thimble over my finger trying to brush her teeth is also to big, lol.

YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() Oh I'll be very careful if I decide to use it, I wanna pull of the bristles and see actually how good they are in there and how hard the brush is, don't wanna hurt her. I wanna check the end of the brush out to/to make sure it won't hurt her.

| ![]() Wow! I use the finger toothbrush and it's perfect for my two. I wouldn't think the clean mascara wands would be very good because their flimsy and I'm afraid the pup would bite at them, break them, and swallow them. Be careful and good luck!

| ![]() The fingertip brush works fine for mine too. I've been using them since Jake was a puppy, and he was only 1 lb. 10 oz. when I brought him home. I don't think I'd bother with the mascara brushes. I'd be too afraid of damaging their teeth. Try the Petzlife.

| ![]() I've been using a q-tip to apply petzlife gel to my cats' teeth. It would be as abrassive as a toothbrush but it would be better than nothing
