HI I am not sure what IBC is. My pups are AKC. If this is your first litter I would also suggest you check the breeders section to answer questions and get some advise. There is a lot to whelping a litter of yorkies puppies. When is your litter due?
I do dock my puppies tails and do the dew claws but I would suggest you get some help from someone else that has had more exper. I sure hope you have done some research on the subject.
Please check the breeders section before your female is ready to whelp.

I'm not sure. Maybe she doesn't have Biewers or doesn't know their tails shouldn't be docked? But then why would she have IBC papers? And if they are Biewers, the parents should have tails...so color me confused. :)

Welcome to yt! My Porsche had her first (and maybe only) litter earlier this year. I learned a lot from the helpful people here. I would never have attempted to dock their tails myself, though. The vet did that and their dew claws. The breeder who sold us Porsche docked her tail too short and left on her dew claws. So it's good to find out as much as you can. This is the place!!!

My vet does all my tail docking and dew claw removal. At the same time she gives each pup and mom a thorough exam.

thanks for the reply everybody,i do have biewer puppies,i should take the puppy to vet and have tail docked and declaw,but do i docked biewer tail or not,and can anybody show me how to register the puppies,thanks

IBBC is for Biewers, and they don't get their tails docked! Here is a link from the IBBC about registration.

If the dogs are biewers, you need a few mentors assisting you. Biewers tails are not docked. IBC is a registery in Germany but there are american ones to assist you.

Check out info with the BTCA at Biewer Terrier Club of America or at my websote for assistance.

I agree with Dee.. If you have Biewers you do NOT dock the tails. Please talk with your breeder about mentoring you on the Biewer breed. If your breeder does not offer to help you, there are breeders or Biewer owners/Lovers on this forum or other Biewer - specific forums that would be more than happy to help you out.

Biewers are rather new to the US and they are a wonderful, exciting breed and in some ways they are different than the Yorkie. It may be a good idea for you to do some reading on the breed so you can fully appreciate your good fortune.

Please do not dock the tails of these pups.:eek:
I will assume that you obtained your Biewers on full registration ( breeding rights).Your breeder should help direct you. However,it seems that you may not have received very much direction from them. * sigh*
You really should seek out a mentor,they're many fabulous Fanciers involved who would be willing to help educate you on this beloved breed.
In my opinion it is very disheartening that you have not seeked information for yourself about the Breed, before venturing into breeding.
Having said that, there are many knowledgeable Breeders available online and in the forums and Breed Clubs who could certainly point you in the right direction.
