| New Member with New Yorkie Family Member Hello everyone, last Sunday we were given a 5-year old Yorkie named Mandee. Her previous parents had three Yorkies, including Mandee, but had to give up one because of a fighting issue. They were heartbroken. Mandee is 10 pounds and a tad overweight. Her old parents said she was a couch potato, but she's loving going out for our 20 minute walks twice a day, and her intermittent romps around the backyard. She's very laid back, and she has us trained really well. She wouldn't eat or drink, but seems open to eating from our hands and drinking while on the couch or bed. I know, I know. We'll get that fixed as she comes around to trusting us. I do recognize we aren't setting great boundaries, but she's so darned cute and cuddly... I especially love when she plops her butt down outside and refuses to take another step if she doesn't want to walk. She's great in the car and is honestly the most well-behaved person/doggie I've ever known. I just hope we stop feeding her from our hands soon. She's going to end up running my household! |

| I got caught in that yorkie trap, too! Anyone that thinks we train yorkies is wrong. They train us! |

| Welcome to YT, Mandee sounds very sweet. Do be careful, dogs are creatures of habit, once you start something they will demand it and yorkies are easily spoiled lol. Sounds like she's in a perfect home for that lol. Enjoy your little girl.

| Thank you! There's no way I can stop spoiling her. She's the queen here now. I'm getting better at making her walk with me at the park, and her butt plants aren't working anymore. We went to an awesome doggie bakery today and then she got to run free in a baseball field. I don't know how I made it 54 years without a yorkie! I'd like to say Mandee is the best dog, but of course she is NOT a dog. |

| Congratulations on the new addition to your family! Sounds like Mandee and you are a perfect fit. I am very happy that she found a loving home with you. I wouldn't worry too much about the hand feeding. Max went through a stage like that. Mandee is enjoying the extra attention. Enjoy your sweet girl!
