Hello everyone, last Sunday we were given a 5-year old Yorkie named Mandee. Her previous parents had three Yorkies, including Mandee, but had to give up one because of a fighting issue. They were heartbroken.

Mandee is 10 pounds and a tad overweight. Her old parents said she was a couch potato, but she's loving going out for our 20 minute walks twice a day, and her intermittent romps around the backyard.

She's very laid back, and she has us trained really well. She wouldn't eat or drink, but seems open to eating from our hands and drinking while on the couch or bed. I know, I know. We'll get that fixed as she comes around to trusting us. I do recognize we aren't setting great boundaries, but she's so darned cute and cuddly...

I especially love when she plops her butt down outside and refuses to take another step if she doesn't want to walk. She's great in the car and is honestly the most well-behaved person/doggie I've ever known.

I just hope we stop feeding her from our hands soon. She's going to end up running my household!
