| Birthday cake recipe Lily's first birthday is coming up and we are so excited, we honestly did not know if she would make it this far. My question is we are having a little family get together for her and I want her to have her own B day cake. I was wondering if any of you have tried good recipes. I have found a lot online but just wanted to know if there are any recommendations. Thanks

| I used this recipe for A.J's first birthday and I'm probably going to make it again when he turns 2 on the 12th! Anyways, he loved it and it was super easy to make and fun to decorate. 2/3 cup mashed bananas (I used baby food) 1/2 cup softened butter 3 large eggs 3/4 cup water 2 cups unbleached flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. cinamon Icing: 2 cups mashed bananas (baby food) 1 Tbl. butter 2 tsp. vanilla 3 Tbl. flour 1 tsp. cinnamon 6 Tbl. carob flour (doggy safe chocolate flavoring) In mixing bowl, beat together banana and butter until creamy. Add eggs and water; beat well. Stir in dry ingrediants and beat until smooth. Spoon batter into oiled bundt pan or cupcake tins. Bake at 350* for 35 minutes. Icing: Blend ingrediants throughly and spread onto cooled cake. Decorate with natural peanut butter, dog treats, etc ***I made it into cupcakes so it was easier to feed him. I don't remember exactly how many it made but I'm thinking somewhere around 2 dozen. Since he couldn't eat all 2 dozen at once, I froze the leftovers and just unthawed individuals ones over the next few weeks. But! if you do that, don't put icing on them until after you unthaw them or it'll all "sink" into the cupcake.

YT 1000 Club Member | Let me know how the other one turns out. Maybe I will try it also. Does anyone have any good dog cookie recipes? Something not meat flavored.
