| Please help me I am getting so frustrated. Everytime I have visitors, my yorkie goes and pees everywhere. I watched her just yeterday and she did it on purpose. Can I stop her from doing this? Or not? My son smelled something on my couch the other day and it was her pee. I just don't know what to do. You can't stop from having people over at your house. She's apart of my family and I love her but it is really upsetting me. Thank you. |

| If there is no physical medical reason (such as a UTI) then I beleive your dog is marking his/her territory when you have visitors. A lot of this may stem from your dog's position in the family has been unintentionally elevated to alpha status or because you dog has a confidence issue. Either behavior can be changed with some work and training. Here is a good article on "marking" that another YT member posted on another thread. Marking: Understanding It, Stopping It

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Is she a puppy cause you have to expect that & if she is ....Don't be upset with her ...it'll just stress her out and she'll keep doing it out of fear or nervousness - If you make sure you take her outside or be consistent on the pee pads she'll learn eventually - When they're little - they have very tiny bladders and young puppies need to go LOTS - as they age, they don't seem to go as often - They don't do it 'on purpose' - they just do it cause they can. |

| If you know you are going to have company make sure she goes potty before they come then hold her until she calms down then have the visitor give her a treat but not until she has calmed down. I agree with the above suggestions this is just one more! |
