The same thing happened to me about two months ago. Murphy's harness came off and he was headed for a 4 lane highway. I did exactly what you did and it worked. I am glad everyone is safe!

Happy to hear "it worked"...
Today is a great time to teach your babies to "stay". If Winston were to get loose or out without his leash, all I would have to do is tell him to stay...he'll stop in his tracks and sit down and wait for me. It's really simple to do...try it...you won't be sorry.

I think that is a great idea but unfortunately we haven't quite mastered the stay command. How did you teach it? So far they listen to "wait" but I can't get them to sit and just stay there.
