does anyone elses yorkies go through spells when they just dont want to eat? My females seemed to do this either during or after their heats, but other times too. Seems it lasts a few days to a week then back to normal. I am a worry wart so I worry if they dont have an appetite, shoot I worry about everything. oh well

. No - the only time we've had appetite problems is when they're ill - but I have boys - so I don't know if I'm much help. I always wonder though about animals in heat - I mean, humans "in heat" certainly can feel pretty miserable, so I've always wondered about how animals experience this. I wonder if there is a herb or homeopathic you could give before or during their heat to ease any symptoms...?

Yes, Linus has periods where he doesn't eat. I think it's just because he gets sick of the food I make him though. I thought that eventually he would eat when he got hungry, but if he's bored of his food, sometimes he will only graze on kibble for a day or two!

Slade does. He'll go for a day or two where he'll only nibble at his food, then he'll have a few days where he'll gulp it down.

I'm like Wylie's Mom....have 2 boys and they both LIVE to eat....so if they DON't want to eat, I know there's something wrong with them.

Mishka just finished being in heat and she is eating 1/2 as much or less, is this normal? I usually have everyone fixed so I am not used to the hormone thing. She seems lazy too. I can see how this would make sense but I just wanted someones opinion. thx

About once a week Lola will have a day where she doesn't eat as much as she normally does. I'm used to this now, but the first few times I really worried. I compensate a little by giving her a few extra treats. As long as she still has the same amount of energy I know she's doing fine.
